Batted .343 with an on-base percenteage of .476 over the 30 games... Springfield was 9-0 in games which he homered...ranked third in the Texas League in walks (80) and on-base percentage (.408)...his 80 walks were the most of any Cardinals minor leaguer and his 81 runs scored ranked fourth among the farmhands...hit two home runs and had six RBI in the Texas League playoffs.
