Logged 1st year at double-A level, appearing in team-high 137 games for Norwich Navigators...batted .273 (140-for-512) with 79 runs scored, 28 2Bs, 7 3Bs, 7 HRs, 47 RBI and 30 stolen bases (in 43 attempts)...his runs scored and steals were 2nd most on squad, trailing Daniel Ortmeier in both categories (85 and 35, respectively)...served primarily as club's leadoff hitter, while defensively appearing in both leftfield (62 games) and centerfield (68 contests)...had best month in July, batting .358 (38-for-106) with 17 runs scored and 16 RBI in 29 contests...for his efforts, was named Giants' Organizational double-A Player of Month...entered July hitting just .226, raising season mark 47 points over last 2-plus months to final .273 showing.

Had breakout season, while splitting campaign between Class A Advanced San Jose and Triple-A Fresno...established career standards in avg. (.301), games (121), runs (91), 2Bs, (21), 3Bs (11), HRs (9), RBI (59) and stolen bases (34)...led all Giants farmhands in thefts, while ranking 8th in avg...spent majority of season with San Jose, where he hit .301 and ranked among California League leaders in runs (9th - 88), 3Bs (T2nd - 11), stolen bases (7th - 33) and on-base pct. (2nd - .424)...earned late season promotion to Fresno, hitting .304 with HR and 2 RBI in 6 games for Grizzlies...following conclusion of regular season, re-joined San Jose for Cal League playoffs...in 7 post season contests, hit .222 (6-for-27) with 3 runs, 2 2Bs and 4 RBI.

2003

Finished 2nd among Giants farmhands with 30 stolen bases, while playing for single-A Hagerstown...led Suns with 61 runs scored, while ranking 3rd in games (114) and 2Bs (17)...hit .250, but boasted .361 on-base pct. as byproduct of team-leading 68 walks.

Kicked off professional career with bang, earning Northwest League All-Star honors for rookie-league Salem-Keizer...paced NWL with .322 avg., while finishing 5th for both hits (77) and on-base pct. (.396)...earned share of S-K Player of Month honors for July with Daniel Ortmeier and Greg Bruso.
