Won back-to-back starts April 21 and 28, allowing 3 earned runs over a combined 10.2 innings, striking out 12...Was 2-1 with a 2.53 ERA (6 ER in 21.1 IP) with 19 strikeouts in April...Struck out a season-high 7 batters on 3 separate occasions for Columbus (AAA) - April 21 at Charlotte, June 10 vs. Syracuse and July 14 vs. Richmond...Struck out 6 batters in his final outing of the season for Tucson (AAA) on Sept. 3 vs. Sacramento on 3.0 innings of relief work.
2006
Enjoyed 4 stints with SEA in big league debut...struck out 34 in 36.0 innings of work, but also walked 24...started season with Tacoma of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League, and was recalled to SEA on May 14 after posting 4 saves and a 3.43 ERA in 13 PCL games...in big league debut that night at LAA, worked the final 3.2 innings to close out a 9-4 SEA win and earn first major league save...became just the 2nd pitcher to record a save of 3.0 innings or more in his debut, joining BOS' Mike Stanley, who worked a 4.0-inning save in his first game on April 16, 1977 at CLE...worked 1-2-3 7th inning to notch first career hold at the big league level, September 17 at KCR...with SEA, posted a .237 batting average against when facing opposing right-handed batters...batting average against in September was .197...earned first big league win on September 9 vs. TEX...tossed 2.2 shut-out innings to close out a 3-2 walk-off SEA victory in 13 innings...pitched for Cardenales de Lara of the Venezuelan Winter League following the season.
In minor leagues: Went 1-3 with 10 saves and a 3.18 ERA in 28 games with Triple-A Tacoma...batting average against was .204 in the PCL, including a .187 mark by opposing left-handed batters...surrendered just one home run in 45.1 innings...while with Tacoma, fanned 10.9 batters per 9 innings.
2005
Started season with San Antonio, going 2-3, 2.57 over 40 appearances for the Missions... ranked fourth on the club in appearances...Had seven saves and a 0.64 ERA in July, including a 10 game scoreless streak (12.1 IP) from July 7-29...1-0, 2.00 with five saves in 11 June appearances...Held opponents to a .231 average, including a .193 average vs. right-handers...Promoted to Tacoma on Aug. 1...on the disabled list from Aug. 4-16 with a strain of the right triceps...1-2, 13.09 in nine appearances at Tacoma...went 1-0, 3.18 over three playoff appearances for the Rainiers...Picked up win on Aug. 31 tossing 2.0 scoreless innings while striking out three.
2004
Spent season with San Antonio, appearing in 43 games...set career-high in appearances...struck out a season-high five batters in 2 1/3 innings on May 17 at El Paso...did not allow an earned run in six relief appearances (7.2 IP) from July 31-Aug. 14...went 1-0 with a 2.16 ERA (8.1 IP, 2 ER) in the month of August...played for Lara in the Venezuelan Winter League.
2003
Made 42 appearances, 4 starts, with Inland Empire...went 7-4 with a 3.52 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 38 relief appearances...held left-handed hitters to a .214 average (25x 117)...did not allow an earned run in five appearances from May 31-June 13 (13.0 IP)...recorded a season-high nine strikeouts over four innings in relief, June 7...promoted to Tacoma Aug. 16...recorded a win in his only appearance with Tacoma, pitching four shutout innings in relief allowing only two hits while striking out two...transferred back to Inland Empire Aug. 19...allowed only one hit while striking out six in his last four appearances (4.0 IP).
2002
Spent season with Wisconsin, beginning the year in a relief role before moving to the starting rotation in June...was 1-1 with a save and a 5.40 ERA (33.1 IP, 20 ER) in 20 relief appearances while going 5-5 with a 2.76 ERA (78.1 IP, 24 ER) in 13 starts...pitched at least 6.0 innings in 9 of 13 starts...struck out a season-high 11 batters twice, Aug. 3 vs. Fort Wayne and Aug. 29 vs. Cedar Rapids.
