Played collegiately at Florida State University, where he was a team captain for the 2017 Seminole team that advanced to the College World Series... Growing up in Lakeland, Florida he went to many Tigers' Spring Training games in Florida, and he ended up pitching for them, making his big league debut in 2021.
2023
Made a ML career-high 11 appearances out of the SD pen, earning the first two winning decisions of his big league career (May 25 @ WSH & June 10 @ COL)...had made just nine appearances at the big league level in his two prior seasons (2021-22) with Detroit... Had his contract selected on May 15 from El Paso (AAA) and made his Padre debut that next day in the rdthi inning with 3.0 scoreless frames vs. KC after starter Seth Lugo exited with a right calf strain... Optioned to Triple-A El Paso on June 21 before being recalled on June 27…made his final 2 appearances of the season on June 27 & 30 before placed on the 15-day IL on July 1 (right elbow inflammation)... Was transferred to the 60-day IL on Aug. 14…underwent an elbow cleanup procedure on Sept. 7... Tossed 2.0+ IP in 7 of his 11 appearances, posting a 2.55 ERA (5 ER, 17.2 IP), 0.91 WHIP and .231 AVG against in those outings... Had reverse splits, limiting left-handed batters to a .174/.231/.261 slash with 0 HR, while right-handed batters had two homers and slashed .275./.339/.431... Struck out 18 batters with six walks allowed...in seven games on the road, posted a 3.18 ERA (4 ER, 11.1 IP), while owning a 5.79 ERA (6 ER, 9.1 IP) in four appearances at home.
2022
Was with Triple A Toledo for most of 2022, pitching in 46 games, including two starts, and posting a 4-3 record with two saves, a 4.78 ERA (31 ER, 58.1 IP) and 67 strikeouts... Appeared in five games with Detroit and had a 2.08 ERA (four ER, 8.2 IP) and seven strikeouts... Turned in his longest outing of the season on May 28 vs. CLE, throwing two innings and allowing two runs on three hits with a strikeout.
2021
Spent the majority of the 2021 season with Triple A Toledo, appearing in 33 games, including two starts...also saw the first big league action of his career pitching in four games with Detroit...Posted a 1.07 WHIP with the Mud Hens and limited opponents to a .232 (46x198) opponent batting average...Did not allow a run in eight of his first 11 outings with Toledo, posting a 2-0 record with a 1.59 ERA (17.0IP/3ER) with 14 strikeouts...Made his Major League debut on Sept. 4 at Cincinnati, needing just one pitch to retire the only batter he faced...according to the Elias Sports Bureau, he became the first Tigers pitcher since at least 2000 to throw just one pitch in his big league debut...the last MLB pitcher to do so was San Diego’s Buddy Baumann on July 16, 2016...Recorded the first strikeout of his big league career Sept. 11 vs. Tampa Bay, fanning Nelson Cruz in the ninth inning.

Made a career high 45 appearances with Double A Erie in 2019...Selected to the Eastern League midseason All-Star Team and was named a Double A All-Star by Baseball America...was also selected a Tigers Organization All-Star by MiLB.com...Ranked tied for fifth in the Eastern League with 45 appearances, while he was sixth with 19 saves...Converted his first 17 save opportunities of the season before having a blown save on Aug. 24 at Harrisburg...Named the Tigers Minor League Pitcher of the Month for August, compiling a 2-0 record with seven saves, a 0.55 ERA (16.1IP/1ER) and 17 strikeouts.

Spent most of the 2018 season with Single A Lakeland, pitching in 34 games for the Flying Tigers...Finished the season tied for eighth in the Florida State League with nine saves.
2017
Began his professional career in 2017, making 20 appearances between the GCL Tigers West, Single A Connecticut and Single A West Michigan...was named the Minor League Pitcher of the Year for Connecticut...Ranked second in the New York-Penn League with 10 saves...Appeared in 11 games with Connecticut in August and had a 1-0 record with nine saves, a 0.75 ERA (12.0IP/1ER) and 18 strikeouts.
