Daniel Adam Stange (pronounced "stang")...was drafted by the Braves in the 33rd round of the 2003 Draft, but did not sign...instead, pitched collegiately at UC-Riverside...posted 11 saves and a 3.73 ERA as a junior for the Highlanders...is a 2003 Elsinore (CA) High graduate.

2013

Won 4 games, posted 5 saves and registered a 4.52 ERA while pitching in 52 Triple-A Pacific Coast League contests with Salt Lake (LAA) and Tucson (SDP)...struck out 10.0 batters per 9.0 innings at Triple-A, but also pitched in 3 games for the Angels (July 30-Aug. 4) in first big league action since 2010...matched career high, established previously in '12, with 73 strikeouts.

2012

Pitched in Diamondbacks and Padres chains, as well as with Bridgeport of the independent Atlantic League, and combined on 6 saves and a 4.09 ERA in a career-high 54 appearances.

2011

Appeared in only 25 games with Reno of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League while working around pair of DL stints (right elbow)...walked 27 in 36.2 innings.

2010

Opened the season with Triple-A Reno before making his big league debut in May...finished the season with Double- A Mobile...Went 4-3 with 2 saves, a 6.17 ERA (16 ER in 23.1 IP) and .309 opponents average with 10 walks and 16 strikeouts in 19 games over 2 separate stints with the Aces...Had 3 scoreless outings (3.1 IP) to open the season, allowing just 1 hit while fanning 5 in those contests...Recalled to join the D-backs on April 29 and made his Major League debut that same day, tossing a perfect inning of relief @ Cubs...Made 3 more appearances with the D-backs, allowing 6 runs over 3.0 innings with 6 walks and 2 strikeouts before being optioned back to Reno on May 12...Converted back-to-back save opportunities on May 21 and 22...Tossed a season-high 2.2 innings and struck out a season-high 5 batters on June 14 @ Sacramento...Transferred to Mobile on June 17...went 4-1 with 13 saves, a 1.69 ERA (6 ER in 32.0 IP) and .140 opponents average (14-for-100) with 11 walks and 18 strikeouts in 30 games with the BayBears...Limited the opposition to a .172 average (5-for-29) with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts with runners in scoring position...Held righties to a .120 average (6-for-50) with 5 walks and 11 strikeouts, while lefties hit just .160 (8-for-50) with 6 walks and 7 strikeouts...Over 12 games in August, did not allow a run while converting 7-of-7 save opportunities over 11.2 innings of work...Converted his final 9 save opportunities from Aug. 3-Sept. 4, holding opponents scoreless over 9.2 innings in those games...Did not allow a run over 23 games (24.2 IP) from July 10-Sept. 6.

2009

Spent the entire season at Double-A Mobile and logged a career-high 51.2 innings...Over 15 games in April-May, went 0-1 with 6 saves and a 2.42 ERA (6 ER in 22.1 IP)...Named the organizational Pitcher of the Month for May after recording 3 saves and a 2.70 ERA (4 ER in 13.1 IP) with 10 strikeouts in 8 outings.

2008

Started the season on the disabled list, recovering from right ulnar collateral reconstruction surgery...In a combined 22 games at Single-A South Bend and Single-A Advanced Visalia, held opponents to a .193 average (21-for-109) as righties hit .140 (8-for-57) and lefties hit .250 (13-for-52)...Activated from the disabled list on June 19 with Single-A South Bend...In 11 games for South Bend, posted a 1.59 ERA (3 ER in 17.0 IP) and .183 opponents average (11-for-60)...Promoted to Single-A Advanced Visalia on July 28 where he limited opponents to a .204 average (10-for-49), including a .111 average (3-for-27) by righties.
