Split the season between Triple-A Norfolk and the Orioles, hitting .200 (13-for-77) in 21 games with the Tides and .195 (17-for-87) in 31 games for the Orioles...Began the season with the Tides...on the disabled list from May 7-19 with a right shoulder impingement...was recalled by the Orioles on May 26...Hit .333 (12-for-36) in his first 15 games, compared to .098 (5-for-51) in his final 16...Claimed off waivers by the Astros on Oct. 28.

In 96g at Class AA Chattanooga and in his first apps at Class AAA Louisville combined to hit .241 (8hr, 60rbi)...began the season with the Lookouts...was promoted on 8/10 and spent the rest of the season with the Bats...when promoted had an active 9-game hitting streak for Chattanooga (.400)...on 8/10 vs Columbus produced a single and RBI in his first Class AAA start.

2007

At Class A Sarasota and Class AA Chattanooga combined to hit .281 with 12hr and 61rbi in 104 apps...began the season at Sarasota and made all 58 of his apps there before he was promoted on 6/27...finished the season with the Lookouts...was the organization's Player of the Month for June (.417, 7hr, 17rbi)... in Baseball America's post-season tools survey was rated the best defensive catcher in the organization... following the season played for the Surprise Rafters in the prestigious Arizona Fall League (13g, .255, 1hr, 4rbi)...on 11/20 was added to the 40-man roster.

2006

At Class-A Dayton, was selected to play in the Midwest League All-Star Game (0-for-1, SF RBI)...Homered twice on July 15 vs. Clinton...Homered in his next game on July 17 vs. Clinton and collected a season-high 4 hits...Recorded his only other 4-hit game of the season on August 18 vs. Wisconsin (4-for-6).

Spent most of the season on Class-A Dayton's disabled list with a strained right elbow.

At Rookie Billings was a Pioneer League All-Star...Recorded a season-high 6 RBI in a 16-5 win on July 17 vs. Casper.
