Spent the season at the Astros' alternate training site as part of their 60-player pool Summer Camp roster...In December was selected by the Reds in the third round of the Class AAA phase of the Rule 5 Draft...was one of six players selected by the Reds in the minor league phase of that draft.

Played the entire season at Double A Corpus Christi, batting .217 (81x374) with 17 doubles, seven homers, 36 RBI and nine stolen bases in 103 games... threw out 28-of-97 (28.9%) attempting base stealers in his 88 games at catcher.

Spent his entire season with Class A Buies Creek, hitting .238 (62x260) with 10 doubles, seven home runs and 30 RBI in 75 games, including 70 starts behind the plate...posted a .994 fielding percentage as the club's catcher.
2017
Had a breakout season with Class A Quad Cities, as he was named a Midwest League Midseason and Postseason All-Star and an MiLB.com Organizational All-Star...spent the entire season with Quad Cities, hitting .274 (118x430) with 32 doubles, 15 homers and 77 RBI in 108 games... starred in the postseason, leading the River Bandits to a Midwest League Championship...named the MWL Championship Series MVP after hitting four home runs, with eight RBI in nine postseason games.
2016
Made his professional debut with Class A Short-Season Tri-City, hitting .275 (44x160) with 13 doubles and 18 RBI in 45 games...named a New York-Penn League Midseason All-Star...signed his first professional contract on June 15, just four days after the draft.
