Christopher Alan Clapinski
Clapinski has appeared in 70 Major League games in his career, all for the Florida Marlins in 1999 and 2000. The switch-hitter is a career .267 hitter with one home run, five doubles, three triples and nine RBIs. He has played second base, third base, shortstop and left field in his Major League career. Clapinski was originally signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Florida Marlins in 1992. He has played in 1,168 minor league games for the Marlins, Dodgers, Reds and Indians organizations, hitting .278 with 218 doubles, 35 triples, 98 homers, 496 RBI and 93 steals.
2005
Missed the entire 2005 season after he suffered a torn flexor-pronator group in his right elbow as a Spring Training Invite with the Royals.
2004
Clapinski played the entire 2004 season at Buffalo (AAA) in the Cleveland organization. Clapinski hit .312 with 24 doubles, four triples, 11 homers, 63 RBI and 18 stolen bases in leading the Bisons to the International League Championship.
