Figgins joined Jose Reyes (Mets) and Juan Pierre (Cubs) as the only players with at least 50 stolen bases in each of the last two seasons. He also became the first player in Angels history to hit for the cycle (9/16 at Rangers) and have an inside-the-park home run (9/29 vs. A's) in the same season. He struggled at the plate for the entire season, striking out 100 times for the second straight year. He was moved from the leadoff spot to the No. 9 hole in September. He finished with a .267 average, 93 runs and 62 RBIs. Figgins twice had walk-off hits for the Angels, Sept. 12 against the White Sox and Aug. 20 against the Mariners.
