Stephen Chad Jenkins (@Jenknutz). Attended Kennesaw State University... In 2009 was named both Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year and Atlantic Sun Conference All-Star SP going 8-1 with a 2.54 ERA, along with a 9.6 Ks/9in and a 1.03 WHIP that season. Graduated from Cherokee High School in Georgia where he was named Cherokee County Player-of-the Year.

2014

Made six separate stints with Toronto…17 of his 21 outings were scoreless. Tossed a career-high 6.0 innings of relief without allowing a run August 10 vs. DET … Marked his first and only win (1-1 record). Did not allow a home run in his final 30.0 innings pitched. Suffered a fractured right hand during batting practice in Tampa Bay and was placed on the 15-day DL on Sept. 5 … Was later transferred to the 60-day DL Sept. 28. Appeared in 21 games, including four starts, for the Bisons, posting a 1-3-2 record with a 4.70 ERA…Began the season throwing 11.0 scoreless innings before it was snapped April 19…He also recorded two saves in two opportunities.

2013

Six of his seven relief appearances were 2.0 IP or more…Posted an ERA of 2.00 (4ER/18.0) while holding opponents to a .190 average in long relief. Was recalled from New Hampshire (AA) on August 24 for his 2nd stint with Toronto…With the Fisher Cats was 0-0, with a 1.20 ERA in four games (three game starts). Posted a 1-0 record in three game starts for the Blue Jays when called up from New Hampshire May 11…Threw 5.0 innings allowing two earned runs in each of those three starts…In five of his six career starts has thrown 5.0 innings while surrendering just two earned runs. As a starter posted an ERA of 3.60 (6ER/15.0) with opponents batting .305 (18-59) in those three games. Made appearances for Buffalo, New Hampshire and Gulf Coast combining for a 0-3 record with a 4.54 ERA in 11 games, 10 starts.

2012

In his first season in the Majors made 13 appearances, including three starts... Did not allow a run through his first five appearances covering seven innings... Allowed only two hits in those contests...Made10 appearances out of the bullpen prior to concluding the season in the rotation... In those 10 outings, posted a 0-1 record with a 4.91 ERA...In his three starts was 1-2 with a 3.95 ERA... Held opponents to a .229 average as a starter...Picked up his first Major League win in his last start on Oct. 2 vs. MIN... Allowed two earned runs over five innings in a 4-3 victory...In his Major League debut as a starter held the Rays to one run (Upton-HR) on two hits in five innings... Took the loss in a 3-0 defeat...In his 10 relief appearances pitched more than one inning in five of the 10 games, including a team high five innings of relief on Sept. 2 vs. TB...Overall opponents hit .260 with a .749 OPS... Left-handed batters were .283 with an .832 OPS... Right-handed batters were .238 with a .669 OPS...Made 20 starts for New Hampshire (AA) posting a 5-9 record with a 4.96 ERA... In his last three starts in AA, recorded a 1-0 record with a 2.21 ERA... Overall batters posted a .310 average in his 20 starts.

2011

Began the season with Dunedin (High-A) before a promotion to New Hampshire (AA), where he would finish the season... Combined to post a 9-12 record with a 3.70 ERA in 27 starts... DUNEDIN DAYS: Began his season with four straight losses, despite three quality starts... Prior to his promotion to New Hampshire won four of his final five starts, tossing seven or more innings in three of them... Posted a 2.04 ground ball to fly ball ratio in Dunedin... GONE FISHING: Was promotoed to New Hampshire in time for his June 11 start... Made 16 starts for the Fisher Cats, holding Eastern League opponents to a .247 average... 10 of his 16 starts were quality starts.

2010

In his first professional season, began at Lansing (Low-A) before being promoted to Dunedin (High-A) at the end of June for the balance of the season... ALL-STAR: Posted a 4-3 record with a 3.37 ERA through May, earning him a selection as a Midwest League All-Star... Allowed three or less runs in all but one of his 13 starts at Lansing... GOING THE DISTANCE: Picked up a complete game victory in his second start with Dunedin.

2009

Was drafted 20th overall by the Blue Jays after completing his college career at Kennesaw State... Made 13 starts for Kennesaw State, going 8-1 with a 2.54 ERA, while striking out 98 in 92.0 innings.... Was named Atlantic Sun Conference Pitcher of the Year.
