Full name is Bronson Kiheimahanaomauiakeo Sardinha...graduated from Kamehameha High School in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2001...has two older brothers currently playing professional baseball: Dane, a catcher in the Detroit Tigers' minor-league system, and Duke, and infielder who played for the Colorado Rockies' Double-A affiliate in 2005.

Was named to the Gulf Coast League All-Star Team in his first professional season, hitting .303 (57-for-188) with 4HR and 27RBI in 55 games for the GCL Yankees...led the league in runs scored (42), ranked third in extra-base hits (21), ranked fourth in slugging percentage (.473) and total bases (89), and ranked eighth with his .303 average...hit two home runs and went 2-for-3 with a season-high 5RBI on 7/10 at the GCL Royals.
