High School, where he played football (QB) in addition to baseball... Attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he walked on to play baseball before earning a scholarship in both baseball and football...Is best friends with fellow Brewers outfielder Blake Perkins, a former teammate and roommate in the Royals farm system...Runs a youth baseball camp during the offseason benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama...Enjoys golf, hiking and traveling.

He appeared in six games with the Royals in 2022, including his Major League debut on May 26 at Minnesota…he had two stints as a replacement player with Kansas City, from May 26-30 and July 14-17...He earned Omaha Player of the Year and MiLB.com Organization All-Star honors after posting a .248/.348/.502 slash line (119-for-480, .850 OPS)...He led all Royals farmhands with 28 HR while also recording 30 doubles and 35 steals, becoming the fourth Royals Minor League player since 2005 to record at least 20 of each in a single season, joining Bobby Witt Jr. (2021), Alex Gordon (2006) and Alan Moye (2005).

2021

Played in 107 games with Double-A Northwest Arkansas, posting a .780 OPS with 15 doubles, three triples, 16 home runs, 57 RBI and 40 stolen bases, the third-most by a Royals minor leaguer, behind only Dairon Blanco’s 41 and Tyler Tolbert’s 55....His 40 stolen bases were the most by any player in Double-A, three more than Somerset’s (Yankees) Michael Beltré...Hit a fourth-inning grand slam in the Double-A Central Championship-clinching Game 3 win over Wichita.
