Brandon Lamon Jones...Is a 2002 graduate of Wewahitchka (FL) High School, located in the Florida panhandle, east of Panama City...Also played baseball at Tallahassee Community College for two years (2003-04).
2009
Spent majority of season with Gwinnett (Braves' AAA)...Ranked third on club in RBI...Finished third among all Atlanta minor league players in doubles and ninth in RBI...Began season with Gwinnett and batted .308 (16-for-52) in 14 games thru 4/23; had four-hit game on 4/23 vs. Charlotte...Was recalled by Braves on 4/24...Made first of four starts in left field for Atlanta on 4/26 at Cincinnati and went 2-for-3 with an RBI...Walked as a pinch hitter and scored a run on 5/1 vs. Houston...Hit safely in each of his final two starts with Atlanta on 5/2 vs. Houston and 5/4 vs. New York (NL)...Was optioned to Gwinnett on 5/5 and spent remainder of season at Triple- A level...Batted .304 (21-for-69) in 18 games during the month of June...Hit first home run on 7/12 at Charlotte...Produced season-high 10-game hitting streak from 8/6-19, going 14-for-40 (.350) with three homers and seven RBI...Fell a triple shy of hitting for the cycle and tallied five RBI on 8/23 vs. Charlotte...Made 60 appearances in left field and 22 in right field while playing with Gwinnett...Also went 22-for-84 (.262) with three homers and 10 RBI in 22 games as the designated hitter.

Played in a career-high 41 games with the major league club after playing in just five games in 2007. ...Hit .267 off both LHP and RHP, but hit .385 (10-for-26) with RISP. ...Had two hits on 9/27 at HOU and matched his career high with three RBI. ...Batted .289 (13-for-45) with 4 2B & 12 RBI in 17 games during September. ...Recalled 8/20 from Richmond (AAA) for the second time. He was also with Atlanta 6/11-29. ...In 95 games at Richmond, he batted .260 with 8 HR, 52 RBIs and 25 2B. He homered in two of his last three games, including two homers on 8/18 vs. Toledo. ...Had career-high five-game hitting streak 6/13-17 (10-for-19, .526, 1 HR). ...Had first three-hit game and hit his first MLB home run in the sixth inning on 6/14 off LAA's E. 2007
Brandon made the jump from Mississippi (AA) to Richmond (AAA) to Atlanta this season with minor-league totals of a .295 avg., 19 HR and 100 RBI and a .863 OPS. He was named the Mississippi Player of the Year, hitting .293 with 15 HR and 74 RBI in 94 games. With Richmond he hit .300 with 4 HR and 26 RBI in 44 games. Named the Braves' fourth-best prospect following the season by Baseball America. He led Braves minor leaguers in RBI (100), finished second in hits (158) and runs (84), finished third in home runs (19), triples (7) and doubles (33), finished fourth in OPS (.864) and ninth in batting average (.295). Baseball America ranked him as the 5th-best prospect in the Southern League and 14th-best prospect in the International League following the season. Had contract purchased from Richmond (AAA) on 9/16 and started in LF and went 0-for-4 in his major league debut. Started in LF on 9/28 at HOU and collected first career hit with a 6th-inning double. Had first career RBI on a sacrifice fly in the third inning on 9/17 vs. FLA. Went 1-for-4 for Richmond in the Bricktown Showdown in Oklahoma City vs. PCL champion Sacramento on 9/18 after being optioned to R-Braves on 9/17. Was recalled again on 9/19. Hit safely in 25 of his last 33 games in the minors (.335, 20 R, 9 2B, 3 HR, 22 RBI). Was a Southern League All-Star and Player of the Week (ending 4/16), hitting .440 (11-for-25) with a double, homer and three RBI. Was the IL's Player of the Week (ending 8/12), hitting .481 (13-for-27) with a HR, 6 2B, 6 R and 6 RBI. At Mississippi and Richmond, he hit lefties at a combined .346 clip (56-for-162) with 7 HR and 26 RBI and hit righties at a .273 mark (102-for-373) with 12 HR and 74 RBI. In July with Mississippi, he hit .393 with 4 HR, 20 RBI, 6 2B and 2 3B in 14 games. While with Richmond in August, he hit .353 with 3 HR, 20 R, 20 RBI and 5 SB in 30 games.
