2005
Was acquired by Boston in a trade at the end of spring that sent OFAdam Hyzdu to San Diego.
Began the season on Boston's major league roster and gave up two runs (one earned) in his first outing, 0.1 IP on 4/3 at NYY.
Did not allow runs in only two of his eight appearances for the Red Sox and was placed on waivers, 5/8.
Was claimed off waivers on 5/11 by Colorado and appeared in 11 games for the Rockies (all in relief) before being placed on
the 15-day DLwith right elbow inflammation.
Remained on the disabled list until August when he made four rehab appearances at Tulsa (AA).
Pitched 3.0 innings of relief at Tulsa and suffered a loss on 8/28 when he did not record an out and gave up three runs (two
earned) on three hits. In his final rehab outing at Double-A pitched a perfect inning of a relief (8/31 vs. Wichita).
Pitched one rehab game at Triple-A Colorado Springs, which turned out to be his final game pitched of the season. Finished
the contest on 9/3 facing four batters and surrendering one hit.
Was removed from the DL on 9/8 and received outright assignment to Colorado Springs roster.
2004
Acquired from Florida for right-handed pitcher Ben Howard on April 3...had contract purchased from Triple-A Portland on June 12...did not allow a run in 16 consecutive innings from June 30-Aug. 4...picked up win on July 29.
2003
- Appeared in 18 games with the Marlins, without a decision and an 8.14 ERA (19 ER in 21.0 IP)... allowed
a .413 BAA and saw 10 of his 11 inherited runners score... allowed a .412 first batter BA... was not on
Florida's postseason roster.
- Did not allow a home run in his first 16 games and allowed two overall... allowed homers in consecutive
games: June 29 at Boston (Todd Walker) and September 16 at Philadelphia (Mike Lieberthal).
- Made the Marlins' Opening Day roster and appeared in nine games, posting an 8.38 ERA (10 R, 9 ER in
9.2 IP) before being optioned to AAA Albuquerque on April 25b& allowed runs in six of the nine games,
including five in 2.2 innings over his first three.
- Recalled to the Marlins on May 9, his second turn with the Fish... appeared in five games in his second
recall, posting a 4.15 ERA over that span (2 ER in 4.1 IP)... optioned back to AAA on May 29.
- Recalled for a third time on June 17 when Tim Spooneybarger was placed on the DLb& appeared in four
games after the third recall, allowing runs in three of the games, a 9.00 ERA (6 ER in 6.0 IP), including a
season-high four ER in 2.0 innings on June 27 at Boston... optioned back to AAA on June 30.
- Recalled for the fourth and final time on September 12... made his return on September 16 at Philadelphia
(2 ER in 1.0 IP), including a first-pitch grand slam to Mike Lieberthal.
- Had consecutive scoreless outings once: May 22 at Montreal (0.1 IP) and June 18 vs. New York (NL) (1.0 IP).
- Matched his career best by tossing 2.0 innings for times... struck out a season-high two batters twice: April 4
at Atlanta and June 18 vs. the New York Mets.
- Pitched in 40 games at AAA, posting a 3-2 record with a 2.33 ERA and 21 saves in 46.1 innings... began
his Isotopes season with five straight scoreless outings over 6.1 innings... after allowing eight runs (seven
ER) in 2.0 innings on May 8 at Tucson and May 31 at Fresno, collected seven straight scoreless outings,
June 2-13 (8.0 IP)... saw his season ERA drop from 4.44 to 2.33 over his final 19 games, as he allowed

- pitched in 32 games with the Marlins, making four different stints with the ballclub... was first recalled from AAA Calgary from May 7-10... returned from June 6-July 15, August 6-16 and August 20 through the
remainder of the season... overall, pitched 33.0 innings and went 3-0 with a 2.73 ERA.
- ended the season by pitching 11 consecutive scoreless outings, September 6-29, tossing 11.1 innings,
allowing eight hits and four walks with eight strikeouts... allowed one unearned run (September 3 at New York) over his final 14 games, spanning 13.1 IP, lowering his ERA from 4.58 to 2.73.
- collected his first Major League win on June 22 vs. Detroit as he tossed 2.0 shutout innings, allowing one hit and two strikeouts... improved to 2-0 with 1.2 shutout innings on July 3 vs. Chicago (NL) and posted his third win on September 1 vs. Pittsburgh, fanning two of his three batters faced in 1.0 inning.

- threw his final two outings of the season against the Atlanta Braves, on September 26 at Pro Player Stadium and on October 5 at Turner Field... tossed scoreless outings in both appearances, allowing one hit and two walks with two strikeouts over that span... had both strikeouts on October 5, a career high.

- Ranked second on the team with a career-high 11 saves and established career highs in games (41), innings (54.1) and strikeouts (65).
- Combined with Kevin Olsen to post the first one-hitter in Club history in a 5-0 win over Kissimmee on May 25... struck out two in 1.0 inning in the contest... marked the lowest-hit game for Brevard County since Clemente NuC1ez tossed a no-hitter against West Palm Beach on May 28, 1995.
- Ranked fifth in the Florida State League with 34 games finished.
- Finished the season by going 1-0 with four saves and a 0.98 ERA over his final 19 appearances of the season from June 20-September 2... allowed only three earned runs on 16 hits over 27.2 innings pitched.
- Yielded one earned run over a span of 13 outings from June 20-July 31.
- Struck out 65 batters in 54.1 innings pitched... struck out a season-high six batters on July 8 at Charlotte, allowing one run on one hit in 3.0 innings, his longest outing of the season.
- Earned saves in his first four appearances of the season from April 6-17, allowing two hits and striking out three in 4.0 innings... earned his first loss on May 20 in his 14th appearance of the season... allowed only one earned run in his first nine appearances from April 6-May 5.
- Surrendered only one home run in 41 appearances during the 2000 season.
- Went 1-0 with a 3.45 ERA in 13 games for the Mesa Solar Sox in the 2000 Arizona Fall League, striking out 12 in 15.2 innings pitched.

- Posted a career-low 2.32 ERA, equaled his career high with four wins and ranked third among Midwest League
relievers with 9.00 runners allowed per nine innings in 1999.
- Struck out a season-high six batters in a win in his first appearance of the season on May 22 at Burlington, allowing one hit in 2.0 innings... did not allow a run in his first 13.1 innings over 12 appearances from May 22-June 27, allowing only five hits and striking out 14 while posting a 2-0 record and two saves.
1998
- Was converted to a first baseman prior to the 1998 season due to recurring elbow problems... hit .190 (23x121) with four doubles and 13 RBI in 53 games as a first baseman for Class A Utica... underwent surgery to remove bone spurs and other debris in his right elbow following the 1998 season.
- Earned a career-high four wins in 10 relief appearances for the Gulf Coast League Melbourne Marlins in 1997... struck out 19 batters in 22.1 innings pitched.
- Posted a 1-1 record and one save in seven games (five starts) in his first professional season in the Gulf Coast League in 1996.
