Was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic...Was selected to represent the Cubs at the 2013 SiriusXM Futures Game in New York at Citi Field where he hit a home run for the World team.

2020

Did not play due to COVID-19. Was assigned to the Angels Alternate Training Site...Played the offseason in the Dominican Winter League for Águilas, who won the Dominican League title. He appeared in 18 games during the regular season appeared in two of their postseason games en route to the title.

2019

Returned to U.S. in 2019 after playing in Mexican League the previous season...Played 92 games for Triple-A Syracuse in the International League, slashing .294/.358/.508 with 60 R, 14 2B, 6 3B, 13 HR, 48 RBI and 16 SB (2 CS)...Appeared in first 29 games of the season with Double-A Binghamton in Eastern League.

2018

For the 2018 season, he played in the Mexican Baseball League, playing for Diablos Rojos del México, Guerreros de Oaxaca and Toros de Tijuana.

2016

Spent most of the season in the minor leagues, where combined he hit .278 with 12 HR, 56 RBI and 32 stolen bases for Class AAA Iowa and Nashville and Class A Stockton...also made 16 apps during 4 stints with the Athletics (6/21-6/28, 7/20-7/23, 8/22-8/27, 9/6-remainder of the season)...for Oak appeared in games at 2B (3g, 3gs), SS (2g, 1gs), CF (4g) and RF (1g)...made his last appearance on 9/21 vs Hou, when on a stolen base attempt he suffered a sprained left thumb that sidelined him the rest of the season...for all 4 teams combined to steal 35 bases...was successful on each of his first 27 stolen base attempts...began the season with the Cubs' affiliate in Iowa...on 6/9 was acquired by the A's in exchange for IF/OF Chris Coghlan and was assigned to Nashville...on 8/28 was optioned to Stockton and hit .308 in his 6 apps there before he joined the Athletics as a September callup...was claimed off waivers by the Reds on 10/6, when IF/OF Patrick Kivlehan was designated for assignment.

2015

Arismendy began the season with Chicago, appearing in 11 games from April 5-19 before he was optioned to Triple-A Iowa, April 20 ... was named a PCL mid-season All-Star for the second-straight season with Iowa. Recorded a walk-off single against the Reds in the Cubs 7-6 triumph, April 13 ... was the Cubs first walk-off victory of the season. Posted a .077 average (2-for-26) with five runs scored and a RBI with the Cubs. He made six starts at second base and one start at third, with the Cubs going 5-2 in his seven starts. With Iowa, he batted .231 (105-for-454) with 20 doubles, a league-leading 10 triples, 12 home runs, 36 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 120 games … was the only PCL Player with 10 or more doubles, triples and homers. Belted two solo homers, June 15 at Omaha.

2014

Spent entire campaign with Single-A Boise, hitting .283 (62-for-219) with five doubles, a Northwest League-leading six triples, three homers, 24 RBI and seven stolen bases in 59 games... Hit .304 (51-for-168) against right-handed pitching, compared to a .216 mark (11-for-51) against lefties... Increased his batting average each month, hitting .204 (10-for-49) in 13 June games, .292 (21-for-72) in 21 July games, .295 (23-for-78) in August (20 games) and .400 (8-for-20) in September (five games).

2009

In his first professional action, hit .275 (71-for-258) with 11 doubles, eight triples, three homers, 32 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 65 games with the Cubs Dominican Summer League club.
