Anthony Paul Claggett...Is a 2002 graduate of Palm Springs (CA) High School...Began his collegiate career as an infielder at U.C. Riverside, but switched to pitcher at the end of his sophomore season...Earned four saves and struck out 27 batters in 24.2 innings of work during his final season there (2005).

2009

2006

Posted a 7-2 record with a team-best 0.91 ERA and 14 saves in 51 games for Single-A West Michigan, earning MiLB.com's Class-A "Relief Pitcher of the Year" Award... held opposing hitters to a .174 batting average (35-for-201)... did not allow a run in his final 10 appearances of the season, and permitted only one baserunner in his final nine appearances of the year (9.0IP)... made one appearance with Triple-A Toledo on 7/27 vs. Pawtucket, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning.

2005

Appeared in 21 games for Single-A Oneonta, posting an 0-1 record with a 4.03 ERA and 25K in 22.1IP.
