Opened up the regular season on the Major League Disabled List while recovering from April 2013 Tommy John surgery...returned to the mound for Triple A OKC on May 22 and tossed 1.0 scoreless appearance, his first appearance in the regular season since Sept. 30, 2012, while pitching for the Rockies...made his first four appearances with the RedHawks on a Major League rehab assignment before being activated from the DL and optioned to OKC on May 31...worked out of the bullpen in his first 15 appearances before entering the rotation on July 9...finished his year making 10 starts, including a solid August in which he went 2-1 with a 4.03 ERA (13 ER/29 IP) in five starts...worked a season-high 7.0 innings (2 ER) on Aug. 16 at Sacramento, tossing 102 pitches in the RedHawks 7-2 win...in his next outing, on Aug. 21 vs. El Paso, tossed a season-high 104 pitches in 6.2 innings, while fanning nine hitters (3 ER).

Spent the entire season on the Disabled List after suffering a right elbow strain during his last start of Spring Training ... placed on the 60-day Disabled List on March 30...underwent successful ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction (Tommy John) surgery on his right elbow in April.

Began the season with Triple A Colorado
Springs and made five starts before being called up
to the Rockies...made 10 starts for the Rockies before
being optioned back...he returned to the Rockies
on Aug. 2 and finished the season with Colorado,

in August after being recalled on Aug. 2...in those
seven starts he had a record of 0-1 with a 4.03 ERA
(13ER/29IP) with 17 walks, 21 strikeouts and an
opponent average of .248 (28x113)...the Rockies
went 5-2 in his seven starts despite supporting him
with just 10 runs over his 29.0 innings (3.10 RSA)...
his .248 opponent average in that span was the
second-lowest among all Rockies starters while his
21 punch-outs were tied for most among starters.

Made 10 starts in the Major Leagues this season, his first season in the Majors...he recorded three starts as a Cleveland
Indian and seven starts as a member of the Colorado Rockies after being traded...Was traded to the Rockies at the trade deadline in the deal that sent Ubaldo Jimenez to Cleveland...at the time of the
trade, White was on the 60-day disabled list with right middle finger soreness...Was reinstated from the disabled list 8/23 after four rehab starts, going 1-1 with a 1.65 ERA (16.1 ip, 3 er), a walk, 10
strikeouts and a .172 opponent average...in his last rehab start for the Drillers on 8/18, White allowed just 3 hits and
one walk with 4 strikeouts while tossing 7.2 scoreless innings in the victory...White was a non-roster invite to the Indians Spring Training in 2011...he began the year with Triple-A Columbus where
he made four starts before having his contract selected to the Majors by the Indians on 4/30...White has 10 career MLB starts and is 3-4 with a 7.01 ERA (51.1 ip, 40 er) in those 10 with 37 strikeouts and 25 walks...Rated the No. 2 prospect in the Indians system (47th overall prospect in the minors) entering 2011 by Baseball America...White made 4 starts in 2011 with Triple-A Columbus, going 1-0 with a 1.90 ERA (23.2 ip, 5 er), 5 walks and 28 strikeouts, all in April.

Had an outstanding season in his first professional campaign and was named Indians Minor League Pitcher of the Year
(Bob Feller Award) for his efforts...White, 22, the Indians 1st round selection (15th overall) from the 2009 draft, went
a combined 10-10 with a 2.45 ERA (150.2IP, 123H, 63R/41ER, 46BB, 117K) in 26 games/25 starts between Kinston
and Akron while limitingopponents to a .220 (123-559) average against...Led the organization in innings (150.2IP),
was 2nd in ERA (2.45), 6th in strikeouts (117) and tied for 4th with 10 wins...White began the year with Kinston going 2-3 with a 2.86ERA in 8 starts (44.0IP, 32H, 14ER, 19BB, 41K) before being
promoted to AA Akron on May 20...In 18 games/17 starts with the Aeros, Alex went 8-7 with a 2.28ERA (106.2IP,
91H, 45R/27ER, 27BB, 76K, .226avg)...His 2.28 ERA would have led the Eastern League however did not qualify.
Following the season he was ranked by Baseball America as the 8th best prospect in the Eastern League...His best
month of the season was during July when he went 3-0 and had a 1.15ERA in 5 games/4 starts (31.1IP, 28H, 8R/4ER,
4BB, 30K)...He held opponents to a .195 average (16-82) with runners in scoring position...Went at least 5.0IP in 23 of 26 starts on the year and 22 of his final 23....Fnished strong, going 7.0IP shutout IP on
3 hits allowed (5K) in his final start vs. Erie on August 26 and over his last 3 starts his ERA was 1.47 (18.1IP, 14H,
3ER)...Went 11 of 12 starts from May 28-July 29 with Akron where he went at least 5.0IP and allowed 1ER or less in
11 of those starts...Allowed 2ER or less in 15 of his 18 games w/Akron...Combined on the year he limited hitters to a
.220 (123-559) average against (12HR) as lefties hit just .211 (56-265) off him...Named 2nd best Indians prospect by
Baseball America entering 2011 season.

Pitched in the Arizona Fall Instructional League in Goodyear... Was named as the No. 5 prospect from the lower
tiers of baseball or entry level by the editors of Minor League News (MLN Sports)...Named the 9th best prospect in the Indians organization entering 2010 according to Baseball America.
