Spent the last four seasons pitching for the Rakuten Golden Eagles in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball Pacific League (165g, 9-8, 2.83, 18sv, 155.2ip, 146h, 57bb, 125k, 5hr)...Made 25 minor league apps for Rakuten in the Japan Eastern League...In 2022, went 3-1, 2.27 with 11 holds in 34 relief appearances for Rakuten...Also made two minor league appearances for Rakuten in the Japan Eastern League...On 12/27 was signed by the Reds to a minor league contract and invited to 2023 Major League Spring Training camp.

2017

Began season at Triple-A Rochester and went 2-0, 2.08 ERA (30.1 IP, 7 ER) before having contract selected by Twins on June 17...Made major league debut in game two of Minnesota's doubleheader against Cleveland on June 17, allowing one run on two hits in 2.0 innings in a 6-2 loss...Optioned back to Triple-A Rochester: July 1 and July 7, tossing 6.0 scoreless innings across five relief outings for Red Wings... Recalled July 24 and spent the remainder of the season with the Twins, throwing 12.2 consecutive scoreless innings from August 10 to August 31...Earned first major league win August 10 at Milwaukee, pitching 2.2 scoreless innings...18 of 20 final appearances were scoreless, since August 10; posted a 1.29 ERA (21.0 IP, 3 ER) in that span...Posted a .157 opponent batting average from August 1 through the end of the season, the eighth best in the AL in that span...Held right-handed hitters to a .194 batting average and left-handers to a .225 average...Combined to go 4-1, 1.88 ERA (67.0 IP, 14 ER) with 19 walks and 62 strikeouts in 28 games between Rochester and Minnesota.
