2002 graduate of Archbishop Mitty (CA) High School...attended San Jose State University in 2003, batting .297...transferred to North Carolina State University from 2005 to 2006...batted .354 with 54 rbi in 63 games a Junior at NC State in 2006...also led the team that season in runs (76), homers (10), walks (45), on-base percentage (.479) and slugging percentage (.560)...named to the 2005 Cape Cod League All-Star team in 2005.
