Married Emily...Was committed to Radford University prior to being drafted by the Dodgers... Is a 2016 graduate of Twin Valley (Pa.) High School … threw a 164-pitch, 9.0-IP complete game with 16 strikeouts as a senior … started high school as a catcher until transitioning to the mound as a junior … also was on the Twin Valley wrestling team.

2022

Spent most of the season with Class AAA Round Rock in the Texas organization, going 6-6 with a 6.28 ERA (63 ER/96.0 IP) and 103 strikeouts over 31 games (16 starts)... Also made four relief appearances over five separate stints with the Rangers... Made his season debut on 7/15 vs. Seattle (3 ER/2.0 IP) … earned his only victory on 8/22 at Minnesota, throwing 2.1 scoreless IP … suffered the loss on 9/12 at Miami (4 ER/0.1 IP).

2021

MAJORS IN 2021: Added to the club’s taxi squad on 8/29 and officially recalled from Round Rock (AAA) on 8/30 prior to making his ML debut that night vs. COL (5.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 4 SO, 81 pitches/43 strikes), a 4-3 Texas victory…became the 1st Ranger to win his MLB debut as a starter since Chi Chi Gonzalez on 5/30/15 vs. BOS (5.2 SHO IP)…was just 2nd pitcher in WAS/ TEX franchise history to post 5.0+ SHO IP while allowing one-or-zero hits as a starter in a ML debut, joining Roger Pavlik on 5/2/92 at CWS (ND, 6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R)…was scoreless in his first 2 ML starts spanning 11.0 IP: 8/30 vs. COL (W, 5.0 IP, 0 R) and 9/6 at LAA (W, 6.0 IP, 0 R)…became the 1st pitcher in MLB history (since the current mound distance was established in 1893) to go 5.0+ shutout innings and allow one-or-zero hits in each of his first 2 career appearances (both starts), according to the Elias Sports Bureau…posted the T2nd-longest career-opening scoreless streak (12.0 IP) by a TEX starter: 14.2 IP by Chi Chi Gonzalez in 2015, 12.0 IP by Scott Chiamparino in 1990.

MINORS IN 2021: Combined to go 3-1 with a 1.66 ERA (12 ER/65.0 IP), 10.5 SO/9, 3.7 BB/9, .175/.275/.283/.557 opp. slash, and 1.015 WHIP figure in 16 games/10 starts during a breakout season for Round Rock (AAA) and Frisco (AA), his first career action above High-A…his 1.66 ERA ranked 2nd in the minor leagues (min. 65 IP) at time of his MLB promotion…began year w/ Frisco (3-1, 1.61 in 13 G/7 GS) and was promoted to Round Rock on 8/2 (0-0, 1.84 in 3 G/GS)…entered year rated as Rangers’ no. 25 prospect by Baseball America.

2020

Alexy opened spring training in minor league camp and did not see official game action due to the cancellation of the minor league season…he remained in Arizona for much of the summer and though he was never a member of the Rangers’ 60-man Player Pool, Alexy logged 5.0 SHO IP in the Fall Developmental League, striking out nine of 14 batters faced… contract was selected to the Major League roster on 11/20.

2019

Made five starts for Down East before going on the injured list from 5/2-end of season with a lat strain…returned to make three starts for Surprise in the Arizona Fall League (6 ER/8.0 IP)...entered the season as Texas’ 20th-best prospect according to Baseball America.

2018

Led the Texas organization with 138 strikeouts, 4th-most in the South Atlantic League...tabbed the 18th-best prospect in the SAL by Baseball America...named a Texas Organization All-Star by MiLB.com…averaged a career-best 11.5 SO/9 and dropped BB/9 rate by nearly a full walk compared to previous campaign (4.3 in ‘18/5.0 in ‘17)...surrendered just five HR in career-high 108.0 IP, including zero HR by RHB in 262 PA...held opposition to a .232/.335/.344/.679 slash line...was 3-7, 4.72 (36 ER/68.2 IP) over 1st 15 G/14 GS and 3-1, 1.60 (7 ER/39.1 IP) over final seven starts...registered season-best 12 SO on 5/4 at West Virginia...named SAL Pitcher of the Week for 6/4-10 after six no-hit innings on 6/7 vs. Kannapolis...had 10 strikeouts in each of his final two outings.

2017

Acquired by Texas from Los Angeles-NL, along with OF Willie Calhoun and INF Brendon Davis, in exchange for RHP Yu Darvish on 7/31... combined to go 3-7 with a 3.53 ERA (37 ER/94.1 IP) over 24 starts with Low-A Hickory in the TEX organization and Low-A Great Lakes in the LAD system…held opponents to a .180 average (59-328), 3rd-lowest among all full season minor leaguers (min. 90 IP)…averaged 10.8 SO/9 and 0.6 HR/9 (6 HR/94.1 IP)…permitted zero-or-one run in five of six starts following the trade, going 1-1 with a 3.05 ERA (7 ER/20.2 IP) and 27 SO/15 BB.
