Played at Panola College (Texas) for two years before transferring to McNeese State University (La.)... Graduated from Jasper High School (Texas).

2021

Went 1-1 with a 1.45 ERA (5 ER/31.0 IP) and eight saves in 2021, appearing in 26 games between Single-A South Bend and Double-A Tennessee... His seven saves with Tennessee were the fifth-most among Double-A South pitchers... Began the season in South Bend, pitching 3.0 scoreless innings over two outings before being promoted to Tennessee May 11... Did not allow a run over his first eight appearances (11.2 IP) as well as his last 11 (11.0 IP)... Was placed on the injured list, Aug. 19 and missed the rest of the season.

Did not play in 2020 due to the pandemic-cancelled MiLB season.

2019

Made his professional debut in 2019 after being selected by the Cubs in the 27th round of the draft...Spent the season with the Arizona League Cubs, appearing in 12 games for the AZL Cubs 1 and three for the AZL Cubs 2...Posted a 1.90 ERA (5 ER/23.2 IP) and three saves in 15 games...Did not allow a run over his first four appearances (5.2 IP)…Tossed 2.0 innings and recorded three-plus strikeouts in four-straight outings from July 20-Aug. 7.
