Combined to go 4-3 with a 3.14 ERA and a career-high 70 strikeouts in a career-high 63.0 innings over 14 starts between Rookie Kingsport and Short-Season Brooklyn…struck out a careerhigh eight batters three times: June 18 at Greeneville, July 4 at Elizabethton and July 15 at Greeneville…logged a career-high 7.0 innings July 20 at Bristol.

Pitched for the Mets affiliate in the Gulf Coast League and was 1-6 with a 7.64 ERA in 11 games, including seven starts…yielded just two home runs in 35.1 innings but walked 24 for an average of 6.11 walks per nine innings.

Missed the entire season after undergoing “Tommy John” surgery on his right elbow on Dec. 6, 2016…the surgery was performed by Dr. Altcheck.

Made his professional debut with the Mets1 team in the Dominican Summer League and went 1-1 with a 4.65 ERA in five starts…did not allow a home run in 21.1 innings.
