Colin Scott Holderman...Is married to Casey....Has one daughter, Tanner (11/7/23)…His older sister, Taylor, was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome as a child, a genetic disorder that can lead to delayed development and intellectual disability…He is very active in causes that support kids going through similar fights...He got a forearm sleeve of tattoos on his left arm during the 2022 offseason...The outside of the tattoo says "My Sister's Keeper" with roses, which each of the Holderman siblings have in honor of their sister, Taylor...His inner forearm is a wolf with some trees, which comes from his personal interests...His younger brother, Casey, and sister, Cassidy, are twins....With baseball always being a big part of their lives, the Holderman family dog growing up was named “Shea” after Shea Stadium…Ironically, Colin was drafted in the ninth round by the Mets in 2016. His brother Casey was his bullpen catcher during the COVID pandemic...Met his wife, also named Casey, at Heartland Community College in 2016 when he was on the baseball team and she was a nursing student....Attended Southern Illinois University, the same program that produced Pirates manager Derek Shelton....Was a teammate of Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow in the Mets organization in instructional league in 2016 and with the Single-A Columbia Fireflies in 2017... Began the season with Syracuse (Mets’ Triple-A) before being having his contract selected by New York on 5/15…Made his Major League debut on 5/15 vs. Seattle and tossed a scoreless inning…Picked up his first win in his third big league game on 5/19 vs. St. Louis…Did not allow an earned run in his first six games through 5/29 (8.0ip)…Was placed on the 15-day injured list on 6/11 (retro to 6/8) due to a right shoulder impingement…Made one appearance on rehab with Syracuse on 6/26 before being reinstated from the injured list and optioned to Triple-A on 6/27…Was recalled by New York on 7/3…Won his fourth big league game on 7/9 vs. Miami (became the third relief pitcher in Mets history with four or more wins through their first 13 big league games)…Did not allow an earned run in five appearances with the Mets in July (6.1ip)…Was acquired by Pittsburgh on 7/22 in exchange for Daniel Vogelbach and was optioned to Indianapolis on 7/23…Was recalled by Pittsburgh on 8/2; made his Pirates debut that night vs. Milwaukee and picked up the win…Made five straight scoreless appearances (7.1ip) with the Pirates from 8/2-12…Was removed from the game on 8/24 vs. Atlanta due to right shoulder discomfort… Was placed on the 15-day injured list on 8/26 (retro to 8/25) due to right shoulder soreness before being transferred to the 60-day injured list on 9/4.

Spent the 2021 season in St. Lucie and Binghamton putting up a 3.38 ERA across both levels in 24 IP...Started two games and finished eight with five saves...Selected as one of eight Mets to play in the Arizona Fall League.

Started the season in Rookie Ball before being called up to Brooklyn and then Columbia...Over 37 IP he struck out 30 and walked 17 with a 1.2 WHIP...Topped franchise record in Columbia with 11 Ks in a game across six one-hit innings.
