Colin Scott Holderman...Is married to Casey....Has one daughter, Tanner (11/7/23)…His older sister, Taylor, was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome as a child, a genetic disorder that can lead to delayed development and intellectual disability…He is very active in causes that support kids going through similar fights...He got a forearm sleeve of tattoos on his left arm during the 2022 offseason...The outside of the tattoo says "My Sister's Keeper" with roses, which each of the Holderman siblings have in honor of their sister, Taylor...His inner forearm is a wolf with some trees, which comes from his personal interests...His younger brother, Casey, and sister, Cassidy, are twins....With baseball always being a big part of their lives, the Holderman family dog growing up was named “Shea” after Shea Stadium…Ironically, Colin was drafted in the ninth round by the Mets in 2016. His brother Casey was his bullpen catcher during the COVID pandemic...Met his wife, also named Casey, at Heartland Community College in 2016 when he was on the baseball team and she was a nursing student....Attended Southern Illinois University, the same program that produced Pirates manager Derek Shelton....Was a teammate of Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow in the Mets organization in instructional league in 2016 and with the Single-A Columbia Fireflies in 2017... Enjoys playing video games…Has been playing Call of Duty since he was in middle school and enjoys playing MLB The Show.

Began the season on the 15-day injured list due to illness...Started a rehab assignment with Indianapolis on 3/29...Was returned from rehab and reinstated from the I.L. on 4/11...Gave up two runs (one earned) in 0.2ip on 4/11 at Philadelphia before making 11 straight scoreless outings (10.1ip) from 4/13 - 5/11...Tossed 1.1 scoreless innings and picked up his first win on 5/11 vs. Chicago (NL)…Struck out two of the three batters he faced on 5/19 at Chicago (NL) to lower his season ERA to 0.68 (13.1ip/1er)…Allowed one unearned run in 1.2ip and was charged with a blown save on 5/22 vs. San Francisco...Was charged with his first earned run since his season debut (4/11) on 5/31 at Toronto...Did not allow a run in nine straight games from 6/4-22 (8.1ip)... Gave up two runs in 1.0ip and suffered the loss on 6/23 vs. Tampa Bay...Suffered his fourth blown save and second loss on 7/31 at Houston; surrendered a two-run homer in the sixth inning to erase a 4-3 lead...Surrendered a three-run homer to Joc Pederson with two outs in the seventh and suffered his fifth blown save/fourth loss on 8/4 vs. Arizona...Lost his fourth straight decision on 8/7 vs. San Diego...Was scored upon in five straight games from 7/28 thru 8/7 (4.1ip/11r/8er), raising his ERA from 1.67 to 3.21...Was placed on the 15-day injured list on 8/8 with a right wrist sprain...Began a rehab assignment with Indianapolis on 8/20...Was returned from rehab and reinstated from the I.L. on 9/1...Suffered the loss in the season finale on 9/29 at New York (AL) - his sixth straight loss, dating back to 6/23...Produced a 0.68 ERA (26.2ip/2er) from 4/11- 6/22, an 8.22 ERA (15.1ip/14er) from 6/23 - 8/7 and a 1.93 ERA (9.1ip/2er) in September.

Was a member of a Major League Opening Day roster for the first time in his career…Made season debut on Opening Day and tossed a scoreless inning…Did not allow a run in his first eight appearances thru 4/16 (8.0ip)... Was scored upon for the first time on 4/20 vs. Cincinnati (1.0ip/2er)…Struck out the side on nine pitches in the seventh inning on 5/4 at Tampa Bay; the fourth “immaculate inning” in team history and the first since Juan Nicasio did so on 7/4/16…Made 10 straight scoreless appearances from 4/29 thru 6/2 (9.2ip)…Earned his first Major League save in a 5-4 win on 6/5 vs. Oakland…Was placed on the 15-day injured list on 6/15 due to right wrist inflammation...Was reinstated on 6/30…Retired the two batters he faced on 7/1 vs. Milwaukee... Tossed a season-high 1.2 scoreless innings on 7/4 at Los Angeles (NL)…Made 10 straight scoreless appearances and allowed just three hits in 32 at bats (.094) from 7/16 thru 8/8 (10.0ip)…Gave up one run and struck out three batters while picking up his second save on 8/10 vs. Atlanta… Surrendered just one run in 10 games (10.2ip) from 8/22 thru 9/13, lowering his season ERA to 2.87…Struck out two batters in a scoreless inning on 9/20 at Chicago (NL)…Was placed on the 15-day injured list on 9/22 with a right thumb strain and missed the remainder of the season.

2022

Began the season with Syracuse (Mets’ Triple-A) before being having his contract selected by New York on 5/15…Made his Major League debut on 5/15 vs. Seattle and tossed a scoreless inning…Picked up his first win in his third big league game on 5/19 vs. St. Louis…Did not allow an earned run in his first six games through 5/29 (8.0ip)…Was placed on the 15-day injured list on 6/11 (retro to 6/8) due to a right shoulder impingement…Made one appearance on rehab with Syracuse on 6/26 before being reinstated from the injured list and optioned to Triple-A on 6/27…Was recalled by New York on 7/3…Won his fourth big league game on 7/9 vs. Miami (became the third relief pitcher in Mets history with four or more wins through their first 13 big league games)…Did not allow an earned run in five appearances with the Mets in July (6.1ip)…Was acquired by Pittsburgh on 7/22 in exchange for Daniel Vogelbach and was optioned to Indianapolis on 7/23…Was recalled by Pittsburgh on 8/2; made his Pirates debut that night vs. Milwaukee and picked up the win…Made five straight scoreless appearances (7.1ip) with the Pirates from 8/2-12…Was removed from the game on 8/24 vs. Atlanta due to right shoulder discomfort… Was placed on the 15-day injured list on 8/26 (retro to 8/25) due to right shoulder soreness before being transferred to the 60-day injured list on 9/4.

2021

Spent the 2021 season in St. Lucie and Binghamton putting up a 3.38 ERA across both levels in 24 IP...Started two games and finished eight with five saves...Selected as one of eight Mets to play in the Arizona Fall League.

2020

Did not play due to the Minor League season being canceled.

2019

Played across three levels, Brooklyn, Columbia and St. Lucie...Pitched to a 3.53 ERA and went 4-2 in 16 games across 66.1 IP, with 29 BB and 49 K.

2018

Did not pitch after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

2017

Started the season in Rookie Ball before being called up to Brooklyn and then Columbia...Over 37 IP he struck out 30 and walked 17 with a 1.2 WHIP...Topped franchise record in Columbia with 11 Ks in a game across six one-hit innings.
