Started the season on the injured list with right elbow inflammation...Was activated on June 9... Appeared in nine rehab games (four starts) between Single-A Dunedin and Triple-A Buffalo, posting an 8.61 ERA (22 ER/23.0 IP) with 29H, 14BB, and 23K... Made his season debut on June 10 vs. MIN (1.2 IP, 3H, 2ER, 4K)... Designated for assignment on July 30 and joined the Bisons on Aug. 4... Over his final five starts for Buffalo from Aug. 29-Sept. 21, posted to a 1.37 ERA (4 ER/26.1 IP), a 0.99 WHIP, and a .170 AVG with 35 strikeouts, 10 walks and one home run allowed... With Oklahoma City, the righty went 1-0 over ten games (seven starts) with a 1.69 ERA (6 ER/32.0 IP)…struck out 39 batters and walked just 12... With the Dodgers, he went 1-3 with a 3.66 ERA (19 ER/46.2 IP) and 49 strikeouts…registered a 9.45 strikeout-per-nine innings mark... Started his first Major League game July 28 at Arizona, tossing 3.2 innings of two-run ball with five strikeouts…did not factor in the decision... Struck out a career-high six batters in a career-high 7.1 innings Aug. 18 against Pittsburgh, not factoring in the decision… matched his career-high in strikeouts twice later in the season Aug. 29 vs. Colorado and Sept. 8 at St. Louis... Made his MLB debut on Aug. 28 at Texas, allowing two baserunners (via walk and hit) and striking out one (Shin-Soo Choo) for his first K to close out the Dodgers’ 6-2 win... Awarded his first big league win in his second outing, striking out one in 2.0 scoreless innings in the Dodgers’ 15-6 win over the Rockies at Coors Field.

Started the season with Double-A Tulsa, posting a 1-0 record with a 2.10 ERA (7 ER/30.0 IP) in seven starts with the Drillers… struck out 37 batters against seven walks while posting a 0.83 WHIP and a .165 opponent’s batting average...As a member of the Drillers, he tossed the first four innings of a 10-inning combined no-hitter at Arkansas on April 14...Spent the majority of the season at the Alternate Training Site after being added to the 40-man roster on Nov. 20, 2019...Was assigned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on May 14 and went 3-6 record with a 6.50 ERA (46 ER/63.2 IP) in 16 games (13 starts)...struck out 105 hitters across two levels, establishing a career-high in strikeouts...was placed on the Triple-A injured list on two occasions (June 18-29 and August 1-14) due to recurring blister issues...entered the season rated as the Dodgers’ No. 9 prospect and fifth-best pitcher by Baseball America.

Spent the entire season with Double-A Tulsa and led the team with six wins, 22 starts, 105.1 innings pitched and 88 strikeouts...Was 5-4 with a 3.86 ERA (29 ER/67.2 IP) in 12 starts post all-star break…fanned 52 batters against 12 walks...Had a 1.09 ERA (7 ER/58 IP) with 53 strikeouts and in 58.0 innings with the bases empty...finished the season tied for fifth in games started and tied for 10th in wins in the Texas League.

Went 3-2 with a 2.93 ERA (24 ER/73.2 IP) in 19 starts with Double-A Tulsa, Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and Rookie-level AZL Dodgers...Named Cal League Pitcher of the Week with Rancho Cucamonga on April 16 after tossing 9.0 scoreless innings across two starts while allowing only one hit and striking out 11...combined with Alex Hermeling to throw the first no-hitter in Rancho Cucamonga Quakes’ 25-year franchise history on April 7, 2017.
