2021

Began season with Frisco (AA) in TEX’s organization, where he made 13 starts...Acquired from TEX as part of a six-player trade, 7/30...After being traded to the Phillies, made six of his seven starts with Reading (AA), posting a 2.73 ERA (9 ER, 29.2 IP) with 38 strikeouts...In 14 minor league starts from the beginning of June through August, posted a 2.79 ERA (20 ER, 62.2 IP)..Made one start with Lehigh Valley (AAA) on 9/11...In 20 total minor league starts, was 5-4 with a 3.28 ERA (31 ER, 85.0 IP) and 98 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .189 AVG (56-297)...Had his contract selected from Lehigh Valley on 9/26 and made his ML debut that day in a start against PIT...After the season, pitched for Peoria in the Arizona Fall League; had 24 strikeouts in 16.0 IP...Following the season, was named the No. 7 prospect in the Phillies system by Baseball America.

Did not see official game action after minor league season was canceled due to pandemic…was expected to pitch in Fall Developmental League, but returned home to tend to a personal matter…enters 2021 rated as the ninth-best prospect in the Texas farm system (Baseball America).

2019

Rated as Texas’ 6th-best prospect entering 2020 according to Baseball America…achieved career highs in wins (6), starts (19), innings (87.2), and strikeouts (76) for Low-A Hickory, finishing the season as the South Atlantic League’s 17th-best prospect (BA)…on injured list from 6/14-22 (right elbow impingement) and 8/29-end of season (bone spur in right elbow)…underwent surgery to remove bone spur on 10/2…went 2-0, 2.82 (14 ER/44.2) with 9 BB/42 SO over 1st 10 G/GS and was 3-1, 6.39 (27 ER/38.0 IP) with 8 BB/3 SO in final 8 G/GS…RHB slashed .222/.274/.346/.620 compared to .288/.341/.526/.867 by LHB... posted career-best 2.0 BB/9 in addition to career-low 7.8 SO/9... tabbed by Baseball America as Texas’ top prospect entering 2019, and was rated “Best Fastball” in the organization.
