2022

Started the year on the 10-day IL in the Pittsburgh system (right ankle sprain) and was activated on April 18 and optioned to AA Altoona... Was designated on April 21 and claimed by Cleveland on April 26 and was optioned to AA Akron…Was DFA’d by Cleveland on May 20 and outrighted to AA Akron on May 20…Promoted to Columbus on Sept. 16 after an 18-day stint on the seven-day IL (8/3-20) at Akron with a right shoulder strain... Combined on the year he was 1-5 with a 5.43 ERA in 28 games/nine starts (59.2IP, 52H, 36ER, 47BB, 62SO)… Walked 7.1 batters per 9.0IP and averaged 9.4 SO per nine. ERA in relief on the year was 3.75 (15ER/36.0IP)…ERA starting was 7.99 (9GS, 21ER/23.2IP)…Earned first pro save (3.0IP, 4K) with Akron at Bowie on May 19.

2021

Rule 5 selection made his Major League debut on 4/3 at Chicago (NL) and pitched a scoreless inning - his first appearance in a pro game since pitching with Lake County (Indians’ Low-A) in 2019... Suffered the loss in his third game on 4/12 vs. San Diego; entered with the score tied 1-1 in the sixth inning and gave up five runs in 1.2ip... Picked up his first Major League win on 5/14 vs. San Francisco - just a few hours before his 22nd birthday... Was placed on the 10-day injured list on 6/10 (retro to 6/7) with a left quad strain...Began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on 7/4 and suffered the loss in his start that day vs. Iowa (2.0ip/2er)...Went 0-2 with an 8.00 ERA (9.0ip/8er) in four rehab appearances (three starts) with Indianapolis... Was returned from rehab and reinstated from the injured list on 7/23... Made his first big league start on 7/27 vs. Milwaukee and was charged with eight runs (six earned) in 1.0+ inning... Made four straight scoreless outings (5.0ip) from 8/6-25 and posted a 2.70 ERA (10.0ip/3er) in his last eight big league games overall... Was placed on the 10-day injured list on 9/27 with a right shoulder strain... 2020

Was selected by New York (NL) off Cleveland’s Triple-A Columbus roster in the Rule 5 Draft on 12/10...Was acquired by Pittsburgh from the Mets in a trade for a player to be named or cash considerations following the Draft...Pitched with Lara in the Venezuelan Winter League and went 1-0 with a 0.63 ERA (14.1ip/1er) in nine relief appearances.

2019

Spent season with Lake County (Indians’ Low-A)...Did not allow a run in his first two starts (10.0ip) and won three of his first four decisions thru 4/20...Went 3-0 with a 3.99 ERA (38.1ip/17er) in seven starts from 5/7 thru 6/9...Lost each of his last four decisions...Gave up a season-high nine runs in 2.1ip on 7/11...Was placed on the injured list with a back strain on 7/21 and missed remainder of the season. 

2018

Went 5-2 with a 2.05 ERA (57.0ip/13er) and 67 strikeouts in 11 total starts between Lake County and Mahoning Valley...Was charged with just one earned run or less in each of his first six starts...Went 3-0 with a 0.32 ERA (28.0ip/3r/1er). in his first five starts thru 7/8...Struck out career-high and Mahoning Valley club record 12 batters on 6/28 at West Virginia...Won New York-Penn League Pitcher-of-the-Week honors in back-to-back weeks; 6/18-24 and 6/25-7/1...Made his final start on 8/11...Finished season on the injured list with a back strain...Ranked by Baseball Prospectus as the No. 2 prospect in the Indians farm system following the season...Listed as having the “Best Fastball” in the Cleveland system and ranked as the No. 8 prospect by Baseball America...Also tabbed by Baseball America as the No. 3 prospect in the New York-Penn League at the conclusion of the season.

2017

Spent entire season with the Arizona League Indians... Posted the second-best strikeouts per 9.0ip ratio in the league (12.2)...Went 0-2 with a 6.52 ERA (29.0ip/21er) and 33 strikeouts in his seven starts and 4-0 with a 7.94 ERA (22.2ip/20er) and 37 strikeouts in seven relief appearances... Gave up one hit and struck out 11 batters while tossing 5.0 scoreless innings on 7/15...Picked up victories in each of his last three appearances (all in relief) after giving up 12 runs (eight earned) in his final start on 8/17 (2.1ip).

2016

Spent first professional season with the DSL Indians... Led staff in starts...Ranked second in strikeouts and innings pitched...Surrendered just one home run in his 63.0ip; came in his 11th start on 8/3...Picked up his wins on 6/10 and 7/21... Pitched a season-high 6.0 innings in a no-decision on 8/9.
