Spent spring training splitting time between the Minor League and Major League sides, appearing in a few games with the Twins....Began season with Double-A Wichita....Posted a 15.1-scoreless inning streak to start season, before allowing two runs (one earned) May 11 at Northwest Arkansas....14 of 15 appearances with Wind Surge were scoreless and was promoted to Triple-A St. Paul on May 29....Was tied for first in Texas League in saves (7) at time of promotion...also posted a 0.39 ERA with 30 strikeouts in 23.0 innings pitched for the Wind Surge....Made final appearance in only start on season Sept. 19 at Indianapolis...faced just three batters and left after getting hit in the head on a throw to second base by catcher Ryan Jeffers...Placed on 7-day Injured List Sept. 20 with a concussion...Combined to go 4-3, 3.23 ERA (55.2 IP, 20 ER) with eight saves, 17 walks, 61 strikeouts and a .206 opponent batting average in 44 games (43 starts) between Wichita and St. Paul...held left-handed batters to a .181 average, compared to .221 vs. right-handers....Tied for first among Twins Minor Leaguers in saves (eight) and ranked fourth in games (44).

Spent spring training splitting time between minor league and major league side, appearing in a few games with Twins...allowed just seven home runs on season, three coming in one start July 28 at Northwest Arkansas...set minor league career-high with nine strikeouts July 28 at Northwest Arkansas (5.1 IP)...led Wind Surge in innings pitched (110.0) and starts (24), and ranked second in strikeouts (105).

Spent second professional season with Low-A Cedar Rapids, splitting season with Kernels in both starting and relief role...was the starter of a combined no-hitter May 22 vs. Burlington, earning the win, pitching 5.0 innings with one walk and seven strikeouts; Jose Martinez pitched 2.0 innings of relief to finish...went 3-4, 4.57 ERA (61.0 IP, 31 ER) in 13 starts for Kernels and 4-2, 2.95 ERA (36.2 IP, 12 ER) in 17 relief appearances... held left-handed batters to a .189 average, compared to .221 vs. righties...led Kernels staff in strikeouts (124) and ranked eighth in Midwest League.
