On 3/14 was acquired from the Mariners, along with OF Jake Fraley, minor league LHP Brandon Williamson and a player to be named (RHP Connor Phillips, 3/29), for 3B Eugenio Suárez and OF Jesse Winker...Did not make an appearance in spring training for the Reds or Mariners because of a right shoulder injury that bothered him the previous season...From Opening Day-7/23 missed 93 games while on the 60-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation... beginning 9/15 missed the last 20 games of the season while on the 15-day IL with right shoulder tightness...Between stints on the 60-day and 15-day injured lists, from 8/8-9/11 made all seven of his starts for the Reds...From 6/26-7/23 made six rehabilitation appearances for Dayton (1gs) and Louisville (5gs) before he was reinstated from the 60-day IL and optioned to Louisville on 7/24...made two more starts for the Bats before he was promoted on 8/8...Made his Reds and season debut in the 5-1 loss on 8/8 at Mets, his first Major League appearance since 6/17/21 for Sea vs TB...Took the spot in the rotation vacated by RHP Hunter Greene, who went on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder strain...from 7/29 until Dunn's season debut, the Reds lost starting pitchers to trade or injury RHP Luis Castillo (to the Mariners), RHP Tyler Mahle (to the Twins), Robert Dugger (right shoulder pain), Greene (right shoulder strain) and RHP Graham Ashcraft (right biceps soreness)...His last start of the season, on 9/11 at Mil, was cut short by illness...the next day went on the injured list... was reinstated on 9/14 after missing three games...on 9/15 went on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder tightness...Made one rehabilitation start with Louisville, on 9/27 vs Gwinnett (3ip, 0h, 0r, 2bb, 4k), but didn't pitch again the rest of the season while remaining on the 15-day injured list.
