2020

Appeared in seven Spring Training games for the Giants, hitting .167 (2-for-12)…Spent the season at the Giants Alternate Training Site in Sacramento.

2019

25-year-old was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on September 1...went 1-for-18 in 16 games with SF.... Split the season between Double-A Richmond and Triple-A Sacramento, hitting .294 with 77 runs scored, 27 doubles, three triples, 28 home runs and 94 RBI in 120 games.... Registered his first career three-homer game on August 29, going 3-for-3 with four runs scored, three homers and seven RBI with Triple-A Sacramento.... 21 of his 28 homers came at the Triple-A level, where he hit .298 in 75 games.... Appeared in 43 games at first base and 20 games in the outfield for Sacramento.

2018

Made his Major League debut on August 31...drove in the game-winning run with his first career RBI on a sac fly...Three of his seven RBI gave the Giants a lead...two of the seven were game-winning RBI...Hit a pinch-hit, go-ahead home run for his first career MLB hit on September 3 at Colorado...became the fourth player in SF Giants history to have his first career hit come as a pinch-hit home run...the last to do so prior to Shaw was Damon Minor on September 10, 2000...Had nine hits in his last 32 at-bats (.281) after going 1-for-22 in his first 11 MLB games... His contract was selected from triple-A on August 31, replacing Andrew McCutchen, who was traded to the Yankees...Played in 101 games for triple-A Sacramento, batting .259 with 21 2Bs, 24 HRs and 65 RBI...Led the River Cats in home runs (24) and RBI (65)...his 24 homers were tied for the fifth-most in the PCL..

2017

The left-handed outfielder/first baseman hit .292 across two levels, with 24 home runs and 79 RBI in 125 games with double-A Richmond and triple-A Sacramento... Started off hot in double-A, hitting .301 with six home runs in 37 games...he drew 18 walks and struck out just 26 times in 133 at-bats... Transferred to triple-A in late May and spent the rest of the season with the River Cats, batting .289 with 18 HRs & 50 RBI in 88 games... A former first baseman, Shaw moved to left field to open the door for him to make it to the Major Leagues sooner.
