Was on the Reds' disabled list twice, from 4/3-4/16 with a strained left intercostal muscle suffered during spring training and then from 5/7-5/30 with inflammation in his non-throwing left shoulder...on 7/5 went on Louisville's disabled list with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow that led to season-ending "Tommy John" surgery on 7/19...began the season on the 15-day disabled list with the strained left intercostal muscle...made a pair of rehabilitation starts before he was reinstated to start on 4/17 at StL...went 0-2, 4.02 in 3 starts for the Reds before he was scratched on 5/3 vs SF with soreness in his surgically-repaired, non-throwing left shoulder that led to his second disabling...on 5/31, following 3 more rehab starts for the Bats, returned to the Reds for 2 more starts before he was optioned to Louisville after a 10-9 loss on 6/5 vs Wsh in anticipation of Anthony DeSclafani's reinstatement from the disabled list...from 6/10-6/30 made 5 more starts for the Bats before suffering the season-ending right elbow injury.
