Began the 2023 season with St. Louis and posted a 4.19 ERA (25 ER in 53.2 IP) with 59 strikeouts in 42 appearances before being dealt to Texas at the Trade Deadline as part of a five-player deal with LHP Jordan Montgomery for LHP John King, RHP Tekoah Roby and IF Thomas Saggese... Following the trade to the Rangers, Stratton posted a 3.41 ERA (11 ER in 29.0 IP) with 22 strikeouts and eight walks, and made four appearances in the postseason, including two in the World Series... He led the Majors with 36 relief outings of at least four outs, the most such appearances by any reliever since former-Royals pitcher Anthony Swarzak in 2013 (37 for Minnesota)...His 82.2 combined relief innings were fourth-most in the Majors, behind only Jake Bird (84.1 IP), Tyler Holton (84.1) and Josh Winckowski (83.1)...Limited left-handed batters to a .191/.298/.292 (17- for-89) slashline, while righties hit .242/.279/.400 (52-for-215) off him...Allowed eight home runs, all of which came vs. righties, as he has not permitted a homer to a left-handed hitter since June 11, 2022 at Atlanta (Ozzie Albies), a streak of 163 left-handed hitters without a home run.

Had three stints with the Giants and fi nished the season 4-4 with a 3.68 ERA (24er, 58.2ip) over 13 appearances (10 starts)...Was originally recalled from triple-A Sacramento on April 21, taking the roster spot of LHP Madison Bumgarner who landed on the DL...made two relief appearances and allowed fi ve runs in 3.1 innings of work... was optioned back to triple-A on May 1...His second appearance with SF came on July 1...he was recalled to take the roster place of RHP Dan Slania in the bullpen, but his only appearance was his fi rst career start on July 6...was told he would start just 20 minutes prior to first pitch after RHP Johnny Cueto was scratched with an inner ear infection...Was recalled for the third time on July 25 and made one appearance...Was placed on the 10-day disabled list on July 28 with a strained right calf...was activated from the disabled list on Aug. 5 and was placed into the starting rotation for the remainder of the season...posted a 4-2 record with a 2.42 ERA (12er, 44.2ip) in nine starts...Giants pitchers had just six double-digit strikeout games all season...Stratton recorded two of San Francisco's 10+ strikeout games over just 10 starts...Earned his first career save July 25 vs. PIT...In just his third Major League start Aug. 13 at Washington, he threw 6.2-scoreless innings and registered his fi rst career double-digit strikeout game...it marked just the fourth time in his professional career that he struck out 10-or-more batters in a game...became the fi rst rookie pitcher in MLB in 2017 to reach double-digits in strikeouts in a game without allowing a run.
2016
Appeared in seven games with the Giants, allowing four runs on 11 hits in 10.0 innings (3.60 ERA). Was recalled from triple-A Sacramento on May 28 while the team was in Denver…took the roster spot of RHP Matt Cain. Made his Major League debut on May 30 at Atlanta, tossing a scoreless eighth inning with two strikeouts. Was rewarded with his first Major League victory on June 11 vs. Los Angeles-NL, despite allowing a go-ahead solo home run to Adrian Gonzalez in the top of the 10th inning. Was recalled from triple-A Sacramento on June 14 after RHP Matt Cain was placed back on 15- day DL...had been optioned the day before when Cain was activated for his start. Went 12-6 with a 3.87 ERA (54er, 125.2ip) in 21 games (20 starts) for the River Cats.
2015
Split the season between double-A Richmond and triple-A Sacramento, combining for a 5-10 record and a 3.95 ERA in 26 games (all starts)...threw 148.0 innings and registered 111 strikeouts between the two teams....Started 17 games with the River Cats and went 4-5 with a 3.86 ERA with 72 strikeouts in 98.0 innings....Was a non-roster invitee to Giants spring camp for the first time....Added to San Francisco's 40-man roster on November 20, 2015.
2014
Combined to go 8-9 with a 4.78 ERA (65er, 122.1ip) in 24 outings (23 starts) with San Jose (A) and Richmond (AA). Began the season with Class A Advanced San Jose, going 7-8 with a 5.07 ERA (56er, 99.1ip) in 19 appearances (18 starts). Was promoted to double-A Richmond July 29 and went 1-1 with a 3.52 ERA (9er, 23.0ip) in five starts. His 102 strikeouts with San Jose were the seventh-most in the California League at the time of his call-up.
2013
Ranked ninth in the South Atlantic League in ERA (3.27) and tied for 10th in wins (9). Was a mid-season All-Star in the South Atlantic League. Prior to the 2013 campaign, Baseball America ranked Stratton as the Giants' third best prospect.
2012
Began his professional career with short-season Salem-Keizer and did not pitch after August 20 due to a concussion, sustained when he was struck in the head by a line drive during batting practice.
