Signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants on 1/16...Opened the season on the 60-day Injured List at Triple-A Sacramento...Began a rehab assignment with the ACL Giants Orange on 8/19, appearing in three games...Released on 8/26.

2022

Spent the majority of the year with Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre, hitting .255 with 16 home runs, 53 RBI and a .344 OBP over 105 games... His 16 homers matched his career-best (also 2019 and 2018)... Slashed .300/.370/.500 with four of his 16 homers vs. LHP with Scranton...the other 12 homers came vs. RHP where he slashed .237/.335/.470... Made one appearance on the mound, working 0.1 innings on Sept. 28 vs. Buffalo...he struck out one and walked two... Appeared in three games for the Yankees and went 0-for-6 with five strikeouts... Was designated for assignment on Sept. 10.

2021

Made the Rangers’ Opening Day roster for the third straight year…went 1-for-16 (.063) with 1HR in seven games for Texas, missing the majority of the season due to injury…was on the injured list from 4/13-end of the season with a cartilage tear in his right knee…underwent right knee surgery on 4/28 for an articular cartilage and meniscus cartilage repair, performed by Dr. William Robertson in Arlington…suffered the injury while pursuing a fly ball to left field in the first inning on 4/12 at Tampa Bay, his first career start in the outfield.

2020

Reached via H/BB/HBP in 18 of 23 starts…batted .364 (12-33) in first 12 G/9 GS of ’20, but closed the season with a .156 BA (7-45) over final 14 G/GS…from 8/28-end of season, ranked among club leaders in HR (T2nd, 4), walks (T3rd, 7), hits (4th, 18) and RBI (4th, 9)…on 8/29 vs. LAD, reached 4x (3 H, BB) to match career high, had career-high 3 R, and HR on 1st pitch he saw in 2nd stint w/ TEX, and Taveras hit HR on next pitch to go back-to-back…hit game-tying HR with 2 outs and 2 strikes in the 9th inn. on 9/25 vs. HOU, his 1st career gametying or go-ahead HR in the 9th-or-later…the last 2 such HR by Rangers (2 outs, 2 strikes, trailing in 9th inning, to tie game or give lead): Prince Fielder on 6/11/16 at SEA and Gary Matthews Jr. on 9/9/06 at SEA.

Made 73 total starts at first base (72) and DH (1) over 2 stints with Texas: Opening Day-7/22 and 9/1-end of season…opened the year as the regular first baseman, starting 8 of 1st 9 games and going 6-for-26 (.231) before going on the 10-day injured list on 4/7 with a right hamstring strain…after he was activated on 5/9, went 9-for-49 over next 16 games to drop to .200 on 5/26…batted .270 (13-48) in next 14 games to improve to .228 through 6/11…had a .135 (10-74) mark in next 29 games before option to Nashville on 7/23…was recalled on 9/1 and batted .305 (18-59) with 2 HR and 7 RBI in 19 games/16 GS in final month…tied his career-high with a 7-game hitting streak, 9/4-13 at .385 (10-26)…hit just .134 (9-67) vs. LHP…fielded .991 (5 E/582 TC) in 81 games at 1B.

Recalled on 4/13 and spent the duration of the season with Texas, aside from a week-long stint on the concussion list from 6/26-7/2…ranked among A.L. rookie leaders in multi-hit games (5th, 23), RBI (6th, 58), walks (6th, 33), HR (T6th, 16), XBH (7th, 36), TB (7th, 161), hits (8th, 91), 2B (T8th, 18), and runs (9th, 49)…his 16 HR were 4th-most by a Texas rookie in the last 20 seasons (1999-2018), trailing only Mark Teixeira (26 in 2003), Nomar Mazara (20 in 2016), and Chris Davis (17 in 2008).

2017

Named the organization's Tom Grieve Minor League Player of the Year, ranking among the organizational leaders in hits (2nd, 140), RBI (3rd, 62), average (4th, .298), and walks (T5th, 47)…also tabbed Team MVP by the Express after leading the team in average, runs (78), hits, and multi-hit games (38)…posted an .806 OPS, highest since a .808 figure in his first professional season in 2012 with the Arizona Rangers… batted .315/.394/.477/.871 (103-327) vs. right-handers and .259/.321/.336/.656 (37-143) against southpaws…hit .345 (39- 113) with RISP…posted a .862 OPS prior to the All-Star break and a .698 figure following the break…played in 4 G with Este in the Dominican Winter League from 10/14-20, going 1-for-12.

Had the most RBI (87) and 10th-highest average (.283) among all Texas minor leaguers…established career highs in nearly every offensive category, batting .283 (147-519) over 131 games with Hickory and High Desert... opened season in Hickory for the 3rd straight season, but was promoted to High Desert on 5/7…batted .229 (38-166) over first 40 games with the Mavericks and .309 (79-256) overall final 67 contests…was named Rangers Minor League Player of the Month for August/September, hitting .322 (46-143) with 12 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs, and 28 RBI over 38 games… hit .370 (10-27) with 2 doubles, a triple, a home run, 6 RBI, and a team-high 7 walks in 8 postseason games…was added to the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League on 11/2 and batted .259 (7-27) with 2 walks over 7 games.

2014

Ranked as the 17th-best prospect in the organization by MLB.com…ranked among the South Atlantic League leaders in doubles (T6th, 32)… batted .309 (21-68) with 13 RBI over first 17 games, but .175 (55-315) over next 86 games to drop season average to .198… hit .339 (21-62) with 9 doubles, a home run, and 9 RBI over final 15 games to raise average to .218.

2013

Was limited to 49 games with Hickory due to a pair of stints on the disabled list…opened season on the Hickory disabled list following knee surgery during spring training…was activated from the disabled list on June 3 and posted an 11-game hit streak from June 4-16, batting .450 (18-40) over that stretch…compiled a .328 average (38-116) over his first 32 games, but hit .158 (9-57) over last 17 games before sustaining a season-ending injury on July 30 at Charleston…placed on disabled list July 31 for the remainder of the season with a fractured finger on his right hand.

2012

Spent 1st professional season with AZL Rangers…tabbed the 12th-best prospect in the Arizona League by Baseball America… tied for the league lead in hits (68), while ranking among the circuit's leaders in doubles (T5th, 15) and batting (9th, .321)… 2011: Did not see official action after signing first pro contract on 7/2.
