Spencer Patton split the season between the Rangers and Triple-A Round Rock, beginning the campaign in the minors ... all told, was 1-1 with a 9.00 ERA (24 ER/24.0 IP) in 27 relief appearances for Texas ... was 2-0 with 11 saves and a 1.67 ERA (5 ER/27.0 IP) in 26 Triple-A outings. Was recalled to Texas, May 4, and appeared in two games (3 ER/3.0 IP) before he was optioned back to Round Rock, May 14 ... was up again with the big league club, June 7-11 and June 25-August 27. Had a 3.21 ERA (5 ER/14.0 IP) in 13 road games ... posted a 17.10 ERA (19 ER/10.0 IP) in 14 outings at Globe Life Park. Opponents had a .143 average (6-for-42) with none on base ... had a .360 average (9-for-25) with runners in scoring position.
