Attended the University of Kansas...underwent Tommy John surgery on 4/10/14...procedure was performed by Dr. James Andrews...was a 2012 All-Big 12 Freshman Team selection...Is a graduate of St. Charles East (Ill.) High School...originally was selected by the New York Yankees in the 48th round of the 2011 MLB draft, but did not sign.

2021

Made his first career Opening Day roster with Texas...appeared in 13 games over six stints with the Rangers...Struck out a career-high-tying four batters on 5/26 at the Angels and 9/11 at the Athletics...Appeared in 15 games (10 starts) with Class AAA Round Rock over the course of the season.

2020

Went 2-1, 4.84 (12 ER/22.1 IP) in eight games/one start in his ML debut, spending nearly entire season with Texas after having his contract selected from Alternate Site on 8/11…his three relief outings of 4.0+ IP led MLB…went 2-1, 4.67 (9 ER/17.1 IP) in seven relief outings, including a pair of outings in which he followed an “opener”, going 1-1, 4.50 (4 ER/8.0 IP) in those games.

2019

Led Nashville staff with 114 SO and ranked 3rd with seven wins…his 135.1 IP were a career high…went 3-1, 3.75 (24 ER/57.2 IP) with .245 opp. BA over 10 G/9 GS in 2nd ‘half’ after going 4-5, 6.84 (59 ER/77.2 IP) with .312 opp. BA over 17 G/16 GS in 1st ‘half.'

2018

Named to Texas League mid-season All-Star team after tying for the Frisco club lead in wins (5) and ranking among staff leaders in starts (T3rd, 15), SO (3rd, 72), and IP (4th, 79.2)…including three rehab starts with the AZL Rangers, combined to go 5-6, 3.32 (32 ER/86.2 IP) in 18 G/GS… owned reverse splits, limiting RHB to a .213 average compared to .309 mark by LHB…on disabled list, 6/7-7/31, with left elbow strain.

2017

Made a team-high 22 starts at Down East… ranked among the Carolina League leaders in wins (T3rd, 10) and ERA (7th, 3.94)…went 3-6 with a 5.94 ERA (33 ER/50.0 IP) over 1st 10 starts…compiled the 2nd-lowest ERA in the CL from 6/14-end of the season, going 7-1 with a 2.49 ERA (19 ER/68.2 IP)…was on disabled list, 7/1-13, with left elbow impingement… named CL Pitcher of the Week for 8/14-20 after 7.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R performance on 8/15 at CAR.

2016

Compiled the 4th-lowest ERA among Texas farmhands in his 1st full pro season… was 6-5, 4.28 (43 ER/90.1 IP) as a starter and had 11.2 scoreless innings over 3 relief appearances…held opponents to a .268 average (105-392), including a .230 mark (26-113) by LHB.

2015

After AZL Rangers debut, went on the disabled list from 7/11-end of season with left forearm strain.

2014

Did not appear while recovering from ‘Tommy John’ ligament replacement surgery.
