Vince was ticketed for Double-A Montgomery last year but that changed on the final day of spring training, when Luke Scott's injury brought Shelley Duncan to the majors and created a spot for him with Triple-A Durham... He has known Giants pitcher Ryan Vogelsong since high school…Vogelsong, who grew up 10 minutes away, played college ball with one of Vince's high school coaches, Chad Ohar…in the 2012 season opener for Tucson, he faced Vogelsong, who was rehabbing with Fresno... Has a Boxer puppy named Bonnie... Loves the outdoors, and hunts and fishes whenever he gets the chance.

2013

Named MVP of Triple-A Durham in his first season in the Rays organization and second at the Triple-A level, after being acquired in a minor league trade from San Diego the previous December... Chosen as the starting third baseman in the International League All-Star Game and made the IL postseason All-Star Team as a utility player... Divided time between first base (63 games), third base (32), second base (13) and DH (17)... Hit .300 (133-for-444), matching his career batting avg. and 7th highest in the IL…led the Bulls with a .408 OBP (2nd in IL), 84 walks (tied for 3rd in IL), 77 runs scored (2nd in IL), 35 doubles (tied for 3rd in IL) and 133 hits (4th in IL)... Chosen by Baseball America as having the Best Strike-Zone Discipline in the Rays system after the season... Named the Rays Minor League Player of the Month for May after hitting .345/.453/.483 (30-for-87) with 10 doubles, 15 RBI and 18 walks... In the Rays system, he ranked 6th in batting avg. and 4th in RBI (67)... Compiled an 18-game hitting streak (May 9-29) and a 30-game on-base streak (May 6-June 8)... Helped the Bulls to the Governors' Cup title as he played in all 7 postseason games…batted .286 (6-for-21) with a .531 OBP... Played in 6 games for Estrellas de Oriente of the Dominican Winter League.
