Was a member of USA Baseball's 2007 Collegiate National Team…also on the roster: Pedro Alvarez, Joe Kelly, Jordy Mercer, Tyson Ross and Justin Smoak...Married to Bess…has a daughter, Glennly…Played for the Impact Dirtbag travel baseball team out of Burlington, N.C., whose alumni includes Madison Bumgarner, Wil Myers and Corey and Kyle Seager...His brother-in-law, Fielding Hammond, was top Padres' prospect MacKenzie Gore’s pitching coach at Whiteville (N.C.). High School...Hammond is married to Gore’s older sister, Meredith...Seth and MacKenzie formed a friendship back in 2014 once Hammond introduced them.

2020

Appeared in 2 games over 2 stints with the Mariners (5 ER in 2.2 IP)…Was a non-roster invitee to Spring Training with the Padres…declared free agency on July 14...Signed by the Mariners as a Minor League free agent on Aug. 9...Contract was selected on Aug. 30…tossed 1.0 scoreless inning on Sept. 8 @ Giants and appeared as the 27th Man on Sept. 14 vs. A's (GM 2).

2019

In 22 appearances with Doosan Bears in the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO), he went 9-8 and pitched to a 3.61 ERA (47 ER, 117.1 IP) with just 5 HR allowed, a 8.5 SO/9 and 111 SO against 30 BB...Threw just 2 wild pitches on the season, compared to his 15 in 2018...His strikeout total (111) ranked 2nd on the Bears for the 2nd consecutive year…also ranked 2nd in SO/9 (8.5) and SO/ BB ratio (3.70)...As a member of the Bears' starting pitching rotation, the staff finished the season leading all teams in WHIP (1.28) and ranked 2nd in ERA (3.51) and BB/9 (2.7).
 

2018

Spent the season with Doosan (KBO) and had a 18-3 record with a 3.74 ERA (62 ER, 149.1 IP) in 28 starts...Led the club in wins and BB allowed (55), ranked T-1st in games started and IP…his 134 strikeouts ranked 2nd on the team and set a career high in a single season.

2017

Split the season between Iowa (AAA) and CHC, making his ML debut on June 9 vs. COL...Posted a 2-8 record in 24 appearances (21 starts) with IOW with a 4.40 ERA (57 ER, 116.2 IP)...Made his ML debut on June 9 vs. COL, working 2.0 IP in relief and allowing 2 runs (earned) on 4 hits with 2 SO… optioned to IOW following the game for his lone ML stint...Named a Pacific Coast League Mid-Season All-Star, owning a 4.15 ERA (36 ER, 78.0 IP) in 16 app. (14 starts). 

2016

In his lone season in the LAD system, spent the majority of the campaign with Tulsa (AA) but missed nearly 2 months on the DL with a right oblique muscle strain...Pitched to a 0.69 ERA (1 ER, 13.0 IP) in 10 relief appearances from April 22-May 25 prior to his injury...Made 3 rehab appearances with the AZL Dodgers (R) from July 5-13, then was activated from the DL on July 16 and promoted to Oklahoma City (AAA)...Had a 3.68 ERA (3 ER, 7.1 IP) in 4 games (1 start) with OKC before he was transferred back to TUL and inserted into the starting rotation on July 29.
