Grew up in Pintung County, Taiwan, and attended the Chinese Cultural University... was finishing his education when he signed with Houston...signed by Astros scout Glen Barker. Prior to signing with Houston, played in multiple international tournaments, including the 2008 Olympics with Chinese Taipei, the 2008 World University Championship, the 2007 World Port Tournament, the 2006 World University Championship, the 2006 Haarlem Baseball Week, the 2005 Asian Championship and the 2004 World Junior Championship. Was the winning pitcher in the 2009 XM All-Star Futures Game held in St. Louis...threw 1.0 scoreless inning of relief for the World Team. Was slated to play for Chinese Taipei in the 2013 World Baseball Classic but opted to spend the spring in Kissimmee with the Astros...was on Chinese-Taipei's roster for the 2009 World Baseball Classic but did not play in a game. Became the first Taiwanese-born player to play for the Astros after making his MLB debut on July 31, 2013 at BAL...is one of just 10 Taiwanese players ever to appear in a MLB game...the only other active Taiwanese-born players are LHP Wei-Yin Chen, RHP C.C. Lee, OF Che-Hsuan Lin and RHP Chien-Ming Wang. Had his contract purchased by Houston and added to the 40-man roster on Nov. 21, 2012...signed to a one-year contract that runs through the 2014 season.

Rookie reliever made 19 appearances for the Astros after his recall on July 30...became the first ever Taiwanese-born player to play for the Astros... split the save opportunities with Josh Fields and picked up three saves in five chances ... held lefties to a .128 (5x39) average and all opponents to a .203 (14x69) mark...posted a 2.79 ERA (3ER/9.2IP) in nine road games...had an impressive Spring Training, posting a 2.08 ERA (2ER/8.2IP) in nine relief appearances but was optioned to Double A Corpus Christi on Mar. 25 ... recalled for the first time in his MLB career on July 30 and pitched the remainder of the season out of the Astros bullpen ... made his MLB debut on July 31 at BAL and tossed a scoreless inning in the Astros 11-0 win ... began his career by making seven scoreless appearances (7.1IP) from July 31-Aug. 16...within that streak, picked up his first MLB save on Aug. 13 at OAK, tossing 1.1 scoreless innings in a 5-4 win ... prior to Lo, the last Astros pitcher to begin his career by making seven-or-more scoreless appearances was LHP Mike Gallo, who was unscored upon in his first 11 games (July 2-27, 2003)...LHP Kevin Chapman would surpass Lo's mark later in the season...posted a 3.24 ERA (6ER/16.2IP) with six saves in 17 appearances combined between Corpus Christi (8g), Class A Quad Cities (3g) and Class A Short Season Tri-City (6g)...tallied 20 strikeouts in 16.2 IP...made his first appearance of the season on June 18 with Tri-City on an injury rehab assignment...reinstated to Corpus Christi's roster and transferred to Quad Cities...made three appearances with the River Bandits before being promoted back to Corpus Christi...in his final seven games with the Hooks before his recall, tossed 7.2 scoreless innings.

and were all fewer than 2.0 innings...collected 31
strikeouts, while walking just six batters in his 30.0
innings of work...began the year on the disabled
list before being placed on a minor league rehab
assignment in the GCL on June 20...reinstated
from the DL on July 24 and finished his season
in Lancaster's bullpen...on Aug. 11, struck out the eventual World Series MVP Pablo Sandoval, who was
on a rehab assignment with San Jose...following the season, pitched for Mesa in the Arizona Fall League
and appeared in 14 games, going 1-0 with three saves and a 2.40 ERA (4ER/15IP).

Was active for four
days this season and made two appearances for Class A Lexington...began the year on the DL before being
activated on June 23...placed on the DL on June 27 and finished the season inactive.

After entering
the season as the club's No. 5 prospect by Baseball America, made seven appearances for Double A Corpus Christi with solid results...landed on the disabled list on May 5 and did not return to action.

DL from May 19-June 3...would go onto make 30 appearances for the Hooks through the remainder of the season...started
his Double A career by tossing 9.0 consecutive scoreless innings...invited to play in the 2009 XM All-Star Futures game in St.
Louis, where he tossed a scoreless inning and earned the win for the World Team...following the regular season, played for
Peoria in the Arizona Fall League, where he appeared in six games, posting a 1-0 record and a 3.48 ERA (4ER/10.1IP).
