Began the season at Triple-A Reno and was 2-4 with two saves and a 2.52 ERA in 36 relief appearances when he was promoted to Arizona July 5…spent the remainder of the season with the Diamondbacks and went 2-0 with a 2.95 ERA in 25 games…surrendered just two home runs in 36.2 innings, an averageof 0.49 per nine innings…however, allowed 10-of-13 (76.9%) inherited runners to score, which was the highest percentage in the majors among relievers with 10 or more inherited runners…using the same minimum, it was also the highest mark in Diamondbacks history…first batters faced went 8-for-23(.348) with two walks (.400 on-base percentage)…allowed a .262 batting average, including .233 (20-for-86) against right-handed hitters compared to .309 (17-for-55) against left-handers…had a 1.25 ERA on zero or one days rest, a 4.03 ERA on two days rest or more…now has a 0.87 ERA (2 er in 20.2 ip) in 17 career outings with one day of rest or fewer and a 6.46 ERA (22 er in 30.2 ip) in 27 games on two days rest or more…compiled a 1.20 ERA at home compared to 4.15 on the road…had a win and a 1.17 ERAin four interleague appearances…tossed two or more innings in nine of 25 appearances, which weresecond most by a National League left-hander…pitched for Oriente in the Dominican Winter League following the season and went 2-1 with a 4.22 ERA in 13 relief appearances.

Pitched in 19 games over 2 stints with the D-backs in his first Major League seasonent 0-1 with a 7.36 ERA (12 ER in 14.2 IP). Limited lefty hitters to a .115 average (3-for-26). Made his Major League debut on July 14 vs. Brewers (0 ER in 2.0 IP)...became 1 of 4 relievers in club history to toss at least 2.0 scoreless innings in his MLB debut, joining Greg Aquino (2.0 IP on July 2, 2004 vs. Twins), Josh Collmenter (2.0 IP on April 17, 2011 vs. Giants) and Max Scherzer (4.1 IP on April 29, 2008 vs. Astros). Retired his fi rst 13 batters faced from July 14-Aug. 16. Posted a 0.82 ERA (1 ER in 11.0 IP) in his first 14 games with Arizona before allowing 11 runs in his last 5 (3.2 IP).
