Spent the entire season at Single-A Winston Salem where he went 7-2 with 15 saves and a 2.52 ERA in 41 appearances…the wins and saves were career highs…led all White Sox farmhands and tied for fourth in the Carolina League in saves…surrendered just one home run in 53.2 innings…the home run on May 22 against Salem was the first he allowed as a professional, snapping a career-opening 43-game, 74.2-inning, 316-batter homerless streak…opponents hit .213, which included a .188 mark against right-handed hitters compared to .292 against left-handers…yielded a .143 batting average to batters leading off an inning…had a 1.50 ERA in 21 appearances at home…converted 15-of-21 (71.4%) save opportunities…allowed 10-of-16 (62.5%) inherited runners to score…posted a 0.82 ERA in six appearances in April and a 0.90 ERA in nine June outings…struck out a season-high five batters in a season-high 3.0 innings April 16 against Kinston.

Began the year in extended spring training…combined to go 1-1 with six saves and a 2.02 ERA in 22 games with Advanced Rookie Great Falls, Single-A Kannapolis and Single-A Winston-Salem… joined Great Falls June 4, was transferred to Kannapolis June 27 and promoted to Winston-Salem Aug. 29…did not surrender a home run in 35.2 innings…struck out 39, an average of 9.84 per nine innings… did not allow a run over his final seven outings with Kannapolis (11.1 ip)…recorded his first professional win in his final outing Sept. 6 at Salem (2.0 ip, 2 h, 1 r, 1 er, 2 bb, 2 so)…compiled a 17.18 ERA in two postseason appearances with Winston-Salem (3.2 ip, 7 h, 7 r, 7 er, 2 bb, 6 so).

Made his professional debut with Bristol of the Appalachian Rookie League and had a 2.40 ERA and two saves in seven appearances…including the only three starts of his professional career…was assigned to Triple-A Charlotte Sept. 2 and did not allow a run in two games (2.0 ip)…combined for a 1.89 ERA…made his debut with a start in the second game of a Aug. 9 doubleheader at Greenville (2.0 ip, 3 h, 2 bb, 1 so)…recorded his first save Aug. 29 at Princeton (2.0 ip, 2 bb, 1 so).
