Danny returns to the Cubs as a non-roster invitee to Spring Training ... made his major league debut with the Cubs last season, eight years after being selected in the first round of the 2011 draft by Seattle ... Did not allow a run in six major league outings last season, striking out five batters in 3.1 innings ... Has gone 14-10 with a 2.85 ERA (61 ER/192.2 IP) in 61-career minor league outings, including 40 starts ... Pitched in just 22 games from 2013-18 due to multiple season-long injuries ... missed the entire 2014 and 2017 seasons due to left shoulder injuries ... Was selected to the MLB All-Star Futures Game in 2012 ... was also named a Southern League mid-season All-Star in 2012 ... Spent his first five pro seasons in the Seattle organization before being declared a free agent after the 2016 season ... was out of baseball in 2017 ... signed a minor league contract with the Cubs prior to 2018 ... 2019

Danny made his major league debut, allowing no runs in six outings with Chicago ... in 14 relief outings with Iowa, he went 0-1 with three saves, a 0.91 WHIP and a 1.26 ERA (2 ER/14.1 IP), striking out 23 batters in 14.1 innings ... With Iowa, he limited foes to a .087 batting average against (4-for-46), including a .050 batting average by lefties (1-for-20) ... On injured list April 4-June 16 (left shoulder strain), June 26-July 17 (left groin strain) and August 14-Sept. 2 (left shoulder impingement syndrome) ... Was selected to the major league roster, September 7 ... made his major league debut the following afternoon at Milwaukee, striking out three batters in a scoreless inning of relief. 

2018

Made 10 appearances (three starts) in the Cubs minor league system, posting no record and a 5.19 ERA (5 ER/8.2 IP) ... made his season debut, August 3, with rookie league Mesa ... posted a 1.08 ERA (1 ER/8.1 IP) in his final nine outings. 

2017

Spent the 2017 campaign as a minor league free agent, recovering from a left shoulder injury.

2016

Appeared in just two games on a rehab assignment with the AZL Mariners, June 20-24, allowing one run in 2.0 innings ... spent the entire season on the disabled list with a left rotator cuff tear. 

2015

Went 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA (3 ER/8.0 IP) in three outings with Double-A Jackson, May 1-17 ... on disabled list April 9-May 1 (recovery from left capsule tear) and May 26 through the end of the season (left shoulder strain). 

2014

Did not pitch during the regular season recovering from left shoulder surgery... Had left shoulder surgery on Oct. 1, 2013 to clean up his labrum and a partial tearof the rotator cuff and repaired the capsule... Spent the season rehabilitating at the Mariners player development complex in Peoria, AZ and participated in Instructional League.

2013

Had left shoulder surgery Oct. 1 by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, FL…cleaned up the labrum and a partial tear of the rotator cuff, and repaired the capsule. Spent most of the season on the Triple-A disabled list with left shoulder inflammation. Had two stints on the DL, April 29-June 26 and July 7-Sept. 1. Went 4-1 with a 2.05 ERA (7 ER, 30.2 IP) in 6 starts with AAA Tacoma…averaged 9.98 K/9.0 IP (34 K) with the Rainiers. Made one rehab start with rookie-level AZL Mariners (1-0, 1.80 ERA, 8 K). Scratched from start April 25 at Las Vegas and placed on the DL. Rated as the No. 18 (MLB.com) and No. 29 (Baseball America) prospect entering 2013.

2012

Split season between AA Jackson and AAA Tacoma in his first professional season ... Combined to go 9-7 with a 3.05 ERA (42 ER, 124.0 IP) in 25 starts...struck out 136 batters (9.9 K/9.0 IP) and walked 75 (5.4 BB/9.0 IP) ... Made 12 starts with AAA Tacoma (1-4, 5.92)...walked 43 and struck out 57 ... Went 8-3, 1.19 ERA (10 ER, 75.1 IP) in 13 GS with Jackson...promoted to Tacoma on 6/20 ... Was the starting pitcher for the North in the Southern League All-Star Game (1.0 ShO IP) ... Ranked by MLB.com as the No. 9 prospect in baseball following the season (#16 preseason).

2011
