Compiled a 2.05 ERA (7 ER/30.2 IP) in 31 games after returning to the majors…Allowed an earned run in only four of those 31 games... His 31 appearances from 7/28 through the end of the season tied for the third most in the majors and three behind leader ARI's Randall Delgado...Tossed nine consecutive scoreless innings after returning...His run went from 7/28-8/12 and spanned 9.1 innings... Split the season between the Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees, also spending time with both organizations' Triple-A clubs. Dealt to the Mariners, along with outfielder Ramon Flores, on 6/30 for infielder Dustin Ackley…Went 1-0 with a 12.91 ERA (11 ER/7.2 IP) in a combined eight games out of the bullpen at the Major League level. Earned his first Major League win on 9/4 at OAK, tossing 1.2 perfect innings in an 11-8 victory…Began the season with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and recalled for the first time on 5/15…Returned to Triple-A the next day before being recalled again on 6/13. Compiled a 3-0 record with a 2.90 ERA (16 ER/49.2 IP) and 10 saves for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre…Converted 10 consecutive save chances after blowing his first opportunity with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre…Made his Tacoma debut on 8/4, allowing two runs in 1.0 inning at Las Vegas. Surrendered a run in seven of nine games with the Rainiers.

Combined to go 2-6 with one save and a 3.67 ERA (73.2IP, 30ER) in 17 games (16 starts) with Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre... Began the season with Trenton, going 1-3 with one save and a 2.76 ERA (42.1IP, 13ER) in nine games (eight starts)… held his opponent to 3H-or-less in each of his first six outings (five starts) of the season from 4/26-5/22... Earned his first career save in his season debut-and only relief appearance of the year-in 4/26 win vs. Portland, tossing 4.0 scoreless innings (2H, 1BB, 6K)... Struck out a season-high nine batters in 6.0IP on 5/12 vs. New Hampshire, taking the loss despite holding the Fisher Cats to just 2H and 2ER (3R, 0BB, 1HR, 1HP)... Was promoted to Scranton/WB on 6/25 and went 1-3 with a 4.88 ERA (31.1IP, 17ER) and 28K in eight starts.

Pitched the entire season with Single-A Tampa, going 7-6 with a 3.19 ERA (98.2 IP, 35 ER) in 21 games (18 starts)...ranked second on the Tampa staff in ERA...opponents batted .239 (92-for-385, 7 HR); LH .240 (41-for-171, 6 HR), RH .238 (51-for-214, 1 HR)...Missed a little over a month on the disabled list from 5/16-6/20 with tightness in his right Latissimus Dorsi muscle...Went 5-2 with a 2.17 ERA (54.0 IP, 13 ER) in 13 games (10 GS) after returning from the DL...opened the year 2-4 with a 4.43 ERA (44.2 IP, 22 ER) in his first 8 GS before the injury...Tossed at least 5.0 IP in 13 of his starts...surrendered 11 combined runs in his first two starts of the season...pitched to a 2.44 ERA (88.2 IP, 24 ER) the rest of the year.

Combined with to go 5-12 with a 5.66 ERA (103.1 IP, 65 ER) in 21 starts with Single-A Charleston and Single-A Tampa...spent the majority of the season with Charleston, going 5-7 with a 4.90 ERA (79.0 IP, 43 ER) in 15 starts...limited opposing batters to just 11 H in 51 AB (.216) with runners on base and two outs...Tossed at least 6.0 innings and held opponents to 3 ERs in eight of his starts...opponents batted .276 (84-for-304, 9 HR); RH .297 (58-for-195, 4 HR), LH .239 (26-for-109, 5 HR)...Opened the year with Tampa, losing five of his six starts with an 8.14 ERA (24.1 IP, 22 ER).

2010

Spent the entire season with Single-A Charleston and went 6-5 with a 3.60 ERA (115.0 IP, 46 ER) in 22 games (21 starts)...struck out 105 batters and held opposing batters to a .223 (33-for-148) batting average with runners in scoring position...held opponents to 3 ER or less in all but five of his starts...Was named as having the organization's "Best Changeup" by Baseball America.

2009

Earned MiLB.com's "Short-Season Starting Pitcher of the Year" Award, after going 6-0 with a 1.48 ERA (61.0 IP, 10 ER) in 11 games (10 starts) with the GCL Yankees...tied for third in the GCL in wins and ranked eighth in ERA and strikeouts (53)...had the lowest opponents avg. (.159) and allowed the fewest baserunners/9.0 IP (7.23) among GCL starters...Was promoted to Single-A Tampa on 9/5 where he made one relief appearance, tossing 3.0 scoreless innings.

2008

In his first professional season, posted an 0-3 record and 4.15 ERA (39.0 IP, 18 ER) in 12 games (10 starts) for the DSL Yankees 2...tossed a season-high 5.0 innings in 8/9 win vs. the DSL Reds (6 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 HR).
