After opening the year with a successful run at Triple-A, Tepesch was promoted on 5/14 and finished among Texas staff leaders in quality starts (2nd, 11), wins (T3rd, 5), starts (T3rd, 22), and innings (4th, 126.0)...established career highs in most categories in his 2nd ML season...his 4.00 SO per 9 ratio was lowest in MLB among 127 pitchers with at least 125.0 innings.

The club's fifth starter to begin the year, Tepesch missed 2 months due to injury and went 4-6 with a 4.84 ERA (50 ER/93.0 IP) in 19 games/17 starts in his rookie campaign… ranked 4th on staff in strikeouts (76), 5th in innings, T5th in starts…had 4th-best qualifying ERA among A.L. rookies, and ranked among league's rookie leaders in innings (4th), starts (T4th), opponents average (5th, .272), and strikeouts (T7th).

IP) over first 6 starts before surrendering season-high 13 hits
and 7 runs on May 12 vs. Salem...tossed 7.1 hitless innings and
combined with LHP Jimmy Reyes for the first ever 9.0-inning
no-hitter in team history on May 19 at Wilmington...in final 5
