Spent most of the season at Class AA Carolina, where he was a 2-time Southern League Player of the Week (6/27-7/3, 8/1-8/7)...in 102 apps at Carolina and 4g in September at Class AAA Louisville combined to hit .278 with 31hr and 80rbi...became the first Reds farmhand to hit 30 homers in a season since Adam Dunn hit 32 in 2001...tied Mobile's Paul Goldschmidt for the Southern League lead in home runs while ranking second in HR ratio (1hr/12.63ab) and third in slugging (.575)...led all Reds minor league batters in homers and ranked fifth in RBI...entered the 2011 season rated the 24th-best prospect in the organization...on 11/18 was added to the 40-man roster...played for Leones de Ponce in the Venezuelan Winter League (35g, .240, 7 2b, 1hr, 6rbi).
