Parrino was originally signed by Padres scout Jim Bretz … was the 2007 MAAC Player of the Year for Le Moyne College…named third-team All-America by Louisville Slugger and Collegiate Baseball … helped lead the Dolphins to the MAAC championship and the program's fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament … only the 12th position player and the sixth infielder to be selected in the amateur draft in Le Moyne College history.

Had two stints with Oakland and went 4-for-34 (.118) with two doubles and one RBI in 14 games … struck out 12 times in 36 plate appearances…the switch-hitter went 3-for-18 (.167) against left-handed pitching compared to 1-for-16 (.063) against right-handers … was 0-for-15 in Oakland … started four games at second base, two at shortstop and one at third base…made all seven of his starts batting ninth … also went 0-for-3 as a pinch hitter…was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento the first time April 10 went 3-for-24 (.125) with a double in nine games, including six starts, before he was optioned April 25… returned to Oakland when rosters expanded Sept. 1 and went 1-for-10 (.100) in five games, including a start at shortstop Sept. 16 against Los Angeles (AL).
SACRAMENTO: Spent the balance of the season with Sacramento where he hit .210 with a .300 on-base percentage and .302 slugging percentage in 108 games…all three figures were his lowest as a minor leaguer … the slugging percentage was the lowest mark in the Pacific Coast League and the batting average and on-base percentage were second lowest…had four home runs and 36 RBI in 108 games…struck out 102 times…hit .202 (59-for-292) with all four of his home runs against right-handed pitching compared to .240 (18-for-75) against left-handers…belted all four of his home runs at home … batted .176 with the bases empty compared to .246 with runners on…was 7-for-52 (.135) with runners in scoring position and two outs … appeared in 85 games at shortstop, 18 at third base and five at second base … committed 15 errors at shortstop for a .961 fielding percentage…had four errors at third base (.917) and none at second base … batted .192 as a shortstop and .275 with two of his four home runs as a second baseman and third baseman … saw his most action with 84 games batting ninth … went 4-for 23 (.174) with one RBI over his first six games before he was promoted to Oakland April 10 when Scott Sizemore went on the disabled list…returned to Sacramento April 26 and went 3-for-31 (.097) over his first 10 games to drop his overall batting average to .130 … hit .238 over a 23-game stretch from May 8 to June 3 to lift his average to .196…went 4-for-5 with three RBI May 26 at Tucson…the four hits were a season high … homered in back-to-back games May 29 and 30 against Salt Lake and hit three of his four home runs over a 12-game stretch from May 17-30…had 10 of his 36 RBI over a five-game stretch from May 25-30…had a grand slam and a season-high four RBI in the game on the 30th against the Bees… was batting .184 entering play June 23 but a six-game hitting streak (10-for-23, .435) through June 29 lifted his average above .200 (.213)…hit .247 in the month of July, his best single month batting average in 2013…had a season-high nine-game hitting streak from July 31 to August 10 (9-for-29, .310) to lift his overall batting average to .227…then went 7-for-59 (.119) over his final 19 games to finish the year at .210…went 0-for-4 and matched his season high with four strikeouts Aug. 12 at Iowa (also May 21 against New Orleans).
