Spent the majority of the Season with St. Lucie (A) of the Florida State League...Joined Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League on August 8...Started off the season by hitting safely in 17 of his first 18 games (26-82, .317)...Went on the Disabled List from April 23-May 29, with a fractured finger on his left hand...Batted .351 (20-57) with runners in scoring position; .340( 32-94) with runners on base and .438 (14-32) with runners on and two outs...Hit .300 (15-50) in 11 games in April and .310 (31-100) in 24 contests in June...Also compiled a .300 (64-213) batting average vs. righthanded pitching...For the season in the Florida State League, he had 19 games with two hits and three games with three hits...Put together a 10-game hitting streak from July 6-July 17 (13-43, .302)...Saw time at second base and shortstop...At Binghamton, all of his 28 games were at second base...Had six games with two hits and one contest with three hits...Appeared in 19 games for the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League...Hit .355 (27-76) with 18 runs scored, three doubles, one triple, one home run and 11 RBI...His .355 average ranked seventh in the AFL and he was named to the annual Rising Stars Game.
