appearances...opponents batted just .219 (44-201), including a
.190 (24-126) mark against right-handers ... allowed just 2 home
runs all year, none in his final 26 outings and 36.0 innings ... both
home runs allowed came at Bakersfield's "Historic" Sam Lynn Ballpark,
where center field is 354 feet from home plate ... pitched for
Surprise in the Arizona Fall League...was added to the 40-man
roster on Nov. 19.

Spent the entire campaign with Hickory (A), the
bulk of the season in the bullpen, going 3-5, 3.89 (32 ER/74.0 IP)
in 38 relief appearances...made a pair of starts and was 0-1, 6.00
(4 ER/6.0 IP)...limited opposing right-handed batters to a .251 average
(48-191), while batters hit .269 (87-323) overall...teamed
with Martin Perez and Tyler Tufts on a 7-inning no-hitter April 11
vs. Bowling Green...tossed a scoreless 7th inning to complete the
no-hitter...did not allow a run over 6 April appearances, a span of
10.1 innings...posted a 1.79 ERA (9 ER/45.1 IP) prior to the All-
Star break and a 7.01 ERA (27 ER/34.2 IP) following the break
