Split the season between the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs organizations…joined the Cubs, July 14, after being claimed off waivers from San Francisco, July 13…was designated for assignment on Sept. 4…made his Cubs debut, July 14 vs. St. Louis, recording a pinch-single…tied career high with three hits August 2 vs. Dodgers…designated for assignment, September 4…outrighted to AAA Iowa, Sept. 6.

2012

Spent the entire season with AAA Reno, batting .361 (35x97) with a .448 on-base percentage vs. left-handed pitching…placed on the disabled list on Sept. 3 and remained on there for rest of the season with a left hip impingement.

2011

Spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Reno, batting .300 (145-for-484) with 19 doubles, 16 triples, 12 home runs, 79 RBI and 100 runs scored in 137 games...also appeared in 5 games with the D-backs and was 2-for-6 (.333) with 1 homer and 4 RBI...Earned a Rawlings® Minor League Gold Glove Award with a .993 fielding percentage in the outfield...Ranked among the Pacific Coast League leaders in triples (2nd), walks (2nd, 81), runs scored (2nd), games (T2nd) and on-base percentage (7th, .405)...Reached base safely in 31 straight games from July 7-Aug. 8, hitting .481 (32-for-99) with 27 walks...Recalled from Reno on Sept. 16...Hit his first grand slam with a career-high 4 RBI on Sept. 28 vs. Dodgers.
