Struck out two in a scoreless inning of work in his final outing of the season on September 28 at Tampa Bay ... Was 0-2 with a 17.65 ERA (8.2IP, 17ER) in 11 games for Norfolk before being sent to Double-A Bowie on June 4 ... Walked at least one batter in nine of his 11 appearances for Norfolk ... Was invited to Major League spring training camp in just his fourth professional season and became 1 of 8 Reds players to make his big league debut...on 9/2 was promoted from Louisville...made his Major League debut on 9/8 at Col and allowed a homer to his first batter, Eric Young Jr....his first strikeout victim was Garrett Atkins...LH batters went 1-for-13...in his first season at Class AAA led the Bats in apps (54), third-most in the International League, and converted 8-11 save opps...pitched for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic and in his only appearance threw a scoreless inning vs Panama (2k)...following the season pitched for Cibao in the Dominican Winter League (13g, 1gs, 1-1, 3.29, 13.2ip, 8h, 2hr, 5bb, 7k) and in 12 playoff relief apps went 2-0, 1.64 (11ip, 9h, 4bb, 10k).
