Spent nearly entire season with Triple-A Salt Lake, and led Bees staff with 23 starts, 146.1 innings pitched and 123 strikeouts... His three complete games led all of Minor League baseball... Among Pacific Coast League leaders, ranked first among qualifiers in ERA (3.94) and WHIP (1.09), tied for first in wins (10), was second in innings pitched, opponent average (.249), sixth in strikeouts and seventh in starts... Had contract selected by Angels, May 17 and made only appearance that day at Texas in relief (1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 0 SO)...Was designated for assignment the following day and outrighted back to Salt Lake May 21 and remained with Bees for rest of season.
