Spent most of the 2013 season with Colorado, compiling a mark of 3-0 with a 4.33 ERA in 61 relief appearances after beginning the year at AAA Colorado Springs (recalled on 4/21)...He limited left-handed batters to a .198 (22-111, .539OPS) average against, recorded a 3.41ERA in Coors Field (29.0IP, 30H, 11ER) and allowed only 3 home runs and averaged 8.83 strikeouts per 9.0IP over his 54.0 innings pitched...Finished 9th among National League relievers in pct. of inherited runners who scored at 17.6% (6-of-34)... The .198 clip against left-handed batters was the 6th-lowest mark for a National League reliever...In his career lefties have batted .189 (59-312) off him.

in 27 appearances, seven starts, over two stints with the big league club. Outman began the season on the 15-day disabled list with a strained oblique he suffered during Spring Training...made
six rehab appearances between Modesto, Tulsa and Colorado Springs, going 0-0 with a 1.29 ERA (7.0 ip, 1 er), two
walks and seven strikeouts while holding opponents to a .217 (5-for-23) average. Was optioned to Tulsa 7/4 and went 2-5 with a 3.63 ERA (69.1 ip, 28 er), 30 walks and 71 strikeouts in 14 appearances,
11 starts, for the Drillers. Recalled for the remainder of the season on 9/10 and finished the season in the Rockies bullpen, going 1-0 with a 5.59
ERA (9.2 ip, 6 er), four walks and eight strikeouts with an opponent average of .222. On the season held lefties to a .197 (12-for-61) batting average...walked only four lefties while striking out 26. In his seven starts, he went 0-2 with a 8.89 ERA (26.1 ip, 26 er) compared to 1-1 with a 6.91 ERA (14.1 ip, 11 er) in 20

Began the season as the A's fifth starter but the rookie left-hander solidified his spot in the rotation by
May and was 4-1 with a 3.48 ERA in 14 games, 12 starts, before an elbow injury in mid-June led to
season-ending "Tommy John" surgery June 30...held the opposition to a .212 batting average, including
.123 (7 for 57) against left-handed hitters and .238 (46 for 193) against right-handers...had a .180 onbase
percentage and .193 slugging percentage against lefties, while allowing eight of his nine home runs

broke down to .217 against left-handed hitters and .358 against right-handers...opponents batted .380

Spent the season with Single-A Lakewood and ranked second in the South Atlantic League in
strikeouts (161), third in wins (14) and fourth in ERA (2.95)...was named Phillies Minor League Pitcher
of the Week three times: June 12-18 (1-0, 0.00 ERA), July 31-Aug. 6 (2-0, 0.00 ERA) and Aug. 21-27
(2-0, 0.75 ERA)...won Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Month honors for August when he went
5-0 with a 0.28 ERA...pitched a one-hit shutout Aug. 5 at Kannapolis (7.0 ip, 3 bb, 9 so)...it was the
first shutout of his career...won six straight decisions from July 31 to Aug. 27 and posted a 0.23 ERA
over that stretch...struck out 10 or more batters three times during the season, including a season high
12 June 16 vs. Lake County...held opponents to a .213 average...rated the sixth best prospect in Phillies
minor league system by Baseball America following the season.
